What's on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Good morning (if I get this posted quick) Daisy and menu family!
Accountability: Yesterday was rough for me, lots of running around and I was exhausted. I ended up getting home around 8 and drank a glass of water then went to bed. I didn't run, I didn't eat on plan so I ended up at total calories of 325, and protein o****o of course today I'm up a pound ;-)
QOTD: I have a mini -triathlon coming up this fall that I should be focused on, but really my biggest goal is to be able to mount an average size horse from the ground, without assistance. There's nothing more awkward than having your older, dignified, Muslim guide have to shove your fat @$$ up onto a horse!!!! If/when I return to Egypt (hoping for Nov) I WILL be able to mount Tafaha myself, from the ground, with no assistance.
(yes I'm pulling on her mouth... for a mare that had just hauled my fat @$$ across the desert at a full gallop, she was still quite feisty at this point!)
Almost 4 mo post RNY/164 lbs/ Weight loss stage
B- 1/2 cup plain Greed yogurt plus blue berries
MS- skipped
L- Tuna and Salmon sashimi
AS- LW String Cheese
D- Spaghetti with meat sauce w/ 3.5 oz pour of red wine
ES- Premier Protein Chocolate peanut butter bar
Total Calories: 884, Protein: 77, Carbs: 46, Sugar: 19, Fat: 18
I'm having dinner with friends, spaghetti is on the menu, I'm planning on switching the order of my evening snack and my dinner because once I eat that protein bar I will feel slightly ill and not be able to eat much spaghetti (or anything else) for the several hours. I guess it's not dumping but it's very appetite suppressing and I'll sweat and feel queezy. It's worth it for the 30 g of protein and the ease of intake control.
I skipped my run last night and went straight to bed. I was beat. Tonight I drive back up north to my house, and I'll get my run in tomorrow and Sunday.

Good afternoon menu friends. I'm late getting on here today. I've started carpooling with a co-worker, so I try not to be on my phone too much on the way to work.
QOTD: Goals- The biggest one for me right now is to get to goal weight and maintain. I would like to find a way to make a 2nd income from home too but so far nothing I've tried has really worked out. I want to finish unpacking my house, and get rid of lots of stuff! I'm loving our clutter free main floor right now, and I really want to have that in all our rooms. And I want exercise to be a habit.
Menu:
B: Protein shake
S: Greek yogurt with blueberries
L: Cold cuts and cheese
D: haven't decided yet.
I still haven't started exercising. Still dealing with lots of work stress - nothing like before, just a lot of work to do.
Have a great day everyone.
RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
Good morning and Happy Thursday. I'm so ready for this week to me over. I'm still hating my scale as its doing nothing but going up. My menu changed last night and I swapped out chicken kebab and hummus for my cheese burger. And I had a SF popsicle. damn, damn, damn. Oh well, I'm going to keep on keeping on and hope there is a change . . . and soon.
DQOTD: One goal I have is to run a race all by myself. I've always run with at least 1 friend and I like it because I tend to have mini panic attacks at the start and it's nice to have someone with me to talk me off the ledge. The friend I run tinkerbell with runs the first 6 miles with me and then goes (she's faster than me and wants to better her time each race). I'm fine and can finish by myself, no problem, but I think it would be good for me to have to do the whole thing without her support. I'm looking at the Ventura half marathon in October or November as my test race.
My plan:
B: string cheese and 2 oz of ham
L: Leftover chicken kebab and hummus (4 oz chicken and the hummus is for moisture)
D: The cheeseburger I didn't have last night
S: Skinny latte, yogurt before gym, almonds after depending how I feel

I feel like this dog sometimes!
I can only dream of actually running a race... I did run some on the treadmill tonight- just a half lap at a time alternating with fast walking... So stoked to even try... and make sure it doesn't hurt my shoulder...(PT said I needed to wait 4 months...Exercise Physiologist said that's overkill just take it in small bites and see how shoulder feels).... I have asthma and the A/C at the gym was so cold it actually was hurting my lungs...

Lap swimming is such wonderful exercise.
Have you ever heard of a swim snorkel? It's a different angle than a regular snorkel and you can use it while you are swimming laps. It changed everything for me. I can use all my energy on moving my arms and legs and not having to turn my head up to get breaths. It makes it where I can swim so much longer. Also my head is in the water so I don't have to see other people. It's very peaceful.
Swimoutlet.com has them.
I'm not associated with them but I just love swim snorkels.
