What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Morning everyone!
qotd: I don't travel by bus or train and my only flight as an adult was a few years ago when I flew with my ex husband. We sat together, so i didn't mind being squished in with him, but he did take the armrest and I held my arms tightly crossed the whole flight. Current husband and I plan on treating ourselves to a trip to Orlando when we're both at goal (we're both Harry Potter fans). At the movies, we have the fancy leather recliners, and the armrest between seats goes up, so we cuddle :) if I'm there with someone besides him, I usually cross my arms and try to take up the least space.
Accountability: we ended up skipping the movie. DH went online to pre-purchase our tickets so we could skip the line and discovered Wonder Woman was sold out at 7, and the late showing was too late for a work night. So I didn't have movie popcorn, but I did have a yogurt after dinner.
Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs with 1 slice of cheese and 2 tbsp salsa
snack: 1 C baby carrots with yogurt-based dip (I bought an Italian dip mix at the farmers market and made it with yogurt instead of sour cream. ITS SO YUMMY.
lunch: leftover chicken enchilada casserole
snack: Greek L&F
dinner: calamari
gym after work but it might be a lackluster workout. Shark week and I'm crampy, nauseous, and cranky
Good morning,
Im up earlier than normal so im enjoying my coffee.
Accountability I had some pineapple. I resisted the sweets when I went to the store last night.
QOTD I would share unless there is no room. First come unless they need it more than me.
B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese
L tuna, cottage cheese and pineapple
D pork loin and corn
S ham
Have a good day
Morning team! It is going to be a great day!
Accountability: Good day yesterday until the evening. We were going to go to the store and get stuff for the week but I had a coffee meeting with a friend first. I don't even want to think about my protein goal because I was at only 18g for the day by then. The meeting took longer than I thought it would and I felt rotten by 8pm. We stopped at a BBQ place before the grocery store so I could have some brisket to help my protein numbers but the 1/2 a slice of homemade honey wheat bread I ate while we were waiting for the protein packed brisket did not help much of anything. Then when we got home I definitely had 3 Tea Biscuits even though I was not hungry in the least. Weight this morning was down a pound to 124 so I guess I didn't screw myself up too badly.
Full disclosure, we shopped at a 'big' grocery since we were out of our little town and wanted to see what the city folks had to offer. This led to the aisles of things we don't have available by us. Which in turn led to a jar of English Lemon Curd (surprisingly only 45 cal per serving and 6g sugar) and a packet of Tea Biscuits (basically they are like animal crackers...3 cookie serving, 90 cal and 4g sugar). Neither of these purchases help me one little bit but they looked SO good. Now I must convince my kid to eat them before I do.
QOTD: Now that I take up less space I leave the arm rest as no-mans-land. I prefer if it is the zone of no stranger contact in my personal space. If the other person uses it I just lean away and am fine with it but it is better left un-used.
Menu: B: Banana and low sugar Quaker Instant Oatmeal; L: Left over freezer treat; D: Instant Pot Beef Stroganoff (I will eat just the beef and mushrooms, pasta is for the family. I am planning on substituting half the sour cream with my homemade yogurt); S: Grapefruit; ES: Peach (They had lovely fruit at the big store! So much yummy summer fruit) and probably if I am being honest 3 English Tea biscuits.
Have a wonderful day today,
~Elizabeth

Quick post this morning before a day of rehearsals.
Accountability: yesterday food was as planned but I had so much gum to stay alert during the drive here it's ridiculous. On the bright side it works better than miralax but on the dark side it feels compulsive and I need to deal with it. I chose not to while driving here though.
QOTD: I always have felt the arm rest should go to the other person because I took up so much space in the past and felt apologetic so I'd cross my arms etc in order to stay off of it. I haven't even noticed what I do now in that situation cause now there's tons of room.
B: decaf with premier protein and sf torani, Trader Joe's prosciutto and mozzarella wrap
L: turkey with lite Swiss, carrots and celery

I'm back at it today, first day back and a 1/2 one so I have a very quick day. Feeling way better now that the bowels have started working. I can say that I will have some damage control to do as I've been eating whatever the heck I want for the past week feeling craptastic. Mostly been doing protein shakes but lets face it there was some comfort food there too (soft pretzel, etc). I'm also super swollen so I refuse to step on a scale here at home OR try on clothes for at least another week. I do have a dr appt friday so Im just not going to look at the number when I go in. I don't need to mental saga going through my head.
QOTD: I think it is supposed to be shared but I don't NEED to use it so now I don't.
Better choices for today
Glad you got the bathroom issues worked out!

Happy Wednesday! I had a moderately hungry day yesterday, but left all my safe snacks at home, so I was pretty much screwed. I was on plan except I substituted a kind bar for my yogurt before the gym. More calories, less protein, but its a more "solid" food for me, so holds me over better than the yogurt. Still came in under cals so it was fine. The damned scale is still not moving, but I'm at peace with it (really not, but I'm hoping if I say it enough times, I'll start to believe it!)
DQOTD: In situations like that, and if I feel the need to use the armrest, I try to only use 1/2 Luckily my arms and elbows are smaller now . . . my plan has a better chance of success!
My plan:
B: I haven't had it yet. My choices are HB egg, with bacon and 1/2 container of cottage cheese or ham and cheese roll ups. I should figure it out soon or it'll be lunch time before I eat breakfast. Also doing things like this sets me up for RH or just plain old hypoglycemia (if I wait too long to eat) Get yourself together, Stacy
L: meatloaf
D: hamburger patty with grilled onions and bacon
S: Skinny latte (double star day at Starbucks); yogurt or whatever I don't have for breakfast. sigh.
No totals given my complete failure to plan. But what I do have falls well within my macros, so all is good.
