Good morning menu peeps. Another sunny warm day in Illinois and Lily and I already have our 3.5 miles done. It was the last thing I wanted to do as I tripped and fell yesterday so my whole body hurts today--but I did it anyway. No excuses Here. We will do another mile after supper too. QOTD I usually keep my arms in my lap and rarely use the armrest. Post op 4 years almost 11 months (on the 29th). My 5 year check up is the end of Sugust--where has the time Gone? Accountability was good yesterday with no extra snacks but not enough water so that's the goal for today. Weight at 118.4 today. Here's the food plan for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 2 hardboiled eggs and a string cheese D 31/2 oz cashew chicken from last night with some green beans (making tuna casserole for hubby and son) S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices that move you one step closer to your goal!

Karen, your dedication inspires me! But also, be careful and if you need a rest day to heal-please take it!

Good morning! I am feeling caught up after my few days off so all is good. I need to try and stay on top of things this week because I might have to report to jury duty Monday and I don't want to fall behind.

Accountability: I stress ate last night-a few peanut butter cracker sandwiches, protein bar and pack of cocoa almonds. Hubby is going through some stress at work and after I let him vent I was a little stressed out because I don't really know how to help-other than to be an ear to listen.

QOTD: I think maybe who gets there first?!?! I typically don't use them either.

Time since surgery: 2 years, 11 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters with roasted red pepper, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore tuna lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: SF latte, homemade Greek yogurt with blueberries and ¼ cup bran cereal, 2 Brazil nuts and Buddig beef pack

D: 2 Scrambled eggs, shredded cheese and crumbled bacon inside ½ a low carb pita pocket and ½ a pear

E: 1 hour on stair climber this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1197 Protein:120 Carbs:86 Fat:44

Have a great one!

Morning Daisy!!

I wish I could figure out the whole 'small pouch' days... I think I eat my planned meals even when I don't necessarily need them. Maybe that's because I'm not engaged in this stupid job, and all of the stresses, I don't know... but I wish I'd skip a meal and not notice!

Accountability: I ended up eating the pork rinds and the cheese stick I had planned as a snack, and I'm not sure I really needed them. Oh well, I did plan for them, but dang. I also decided to pick up another package of the SF candy... and I ate THREE of them last night!. No bueno. I think it's best if I just don't have snacks around, I can't be trusted with them... and honestly, if I don't have them, I don't eat them, and I don't miss them!

QOTD: Arm rests are tricky. Like you, prior to surgery, I think I owned them by default... Now, it's so much easier to not have to rely on them. I own the one in my car though if I'm driving. We don't travel by plane/train/bus that often though, so I've not had a lot of opportunities since surgery to really know. First come, first serve? Although, by default, if the person sitting next to me was much larger than I am, I'd probably leave it open for them, knowing they could use it more than me.

Weight this morning 137.2... funny how I bounce around since yesterday I was 136.4 (I think it was .4). I'm so afraid to say 'maintenance' diet... my mind is messing with me. But I am over one year out, and below my targeted goal of 145... but not ready to 'call' it maintenance just yet. I'm just treading water right now...

B: Iced Decaf with half and half and SF syrup

B2: 3.5 ounces of sous vide sirloin

L: 3.5 ounces of taco meat with salsa and cheese mixed in

S: Cheese stick

D: We are going out somewhere, and I don't know where yet. Protein forward though!

S: Probably no evening snack necessary with going out to eat

Good Morning!!

It's been a while since I posted but I am on here reading every day. Every. Single. Day. :)

Work had blocked me from being able to post, but I was still able to read. Weird. And by the time I was getting home in the evenings it was too late to post. But today for whatever reason I hit reply and waited for the blocked message that NEVER came! WOO HOOO! So here I am!!

Accountability: I've been off track. Not terrible, but enough. I'm up 6 pounds, and I wasn't at the weight I wanted to be at. So I'm trying. Did a total fridge/cupboard cleanse last week. I had some carbs in the house. Not terrible, but triggers. and those GD protein bars! ARGH! I can't just have one. So they are also out of the house, and will only buy one at a time when travelling. IF needed. I plan my menu everyday but it seems like I'm starving all the time. Clearly I'm not. It's in my head. and I think the bars/carbs are the triggers. I also think that I've been self sabotaging. I just went online dating and WOW. I'm not ready for it. The judgement, some rejection, some attention. It's a total mind F***K for me right now. So I had to shut that down. I'll be single forever I think!! But all good. I'm pretty fabulous-HAHAHAHAHA! And I was approved for a panni...so that's playing with my head as well. I really wanted to be 25 pounds less...so I'm stressing about that. Fun times in my head!!

QOTD: I never take the arm rest. As an obese person I always felt that shame and now? I just don't. I think I'm still obese in my head so I do the arms in, make myself as small as possible. Old habits die hard.

Menu:

Breakfast: tea with Restoralax, Premier Protein

Snack: Skyr yogurt with TBLSP flax and a TBLSP of poptartx protein powder

Lunch: Bun less BBQ burger.

Snack: Buffalo Chicken-Costco Rotisserie chicken mixed with plain Greek yogurt and frank's buffalo sauce. Maybe some celery sticks to go with it. Maybe not.

Supper: Bun less BBQ Burger (I cooked 2 last night for today)

Snack: IF needed, 2 oz of steak, or sugar free popsicle.

I'm thinking I'm going to go back to CAMAW again. To get fully back on track, but for now I'll use up the veggies I have in the fridge. (Celery and peppers.)

Exercise: CLEAN my house!! and maybe toss in a boot camp. I've got company coming this weekend. Got the notice this morning. I wasn't expecting company. At all. My spare bedroom is now a storage closet. and not a neat one. More like toss and go. So YIKES! I've got some cleaning to do!! and tossing to do! No time like the present to gut! LOL

Hope everyone has a fabulous day!!

Good morning everyone,

Last night was so much with not wanting to wanting to eat all night. I made sure to eat all of my planned meals and snacks.
