I am going for my three-year bariatric check up this morning and I'm anxiously awaiting to find out my iron situation, as my ferritin has been getting lower.

good morning guys. I am working from home today, so I have a bit more time to get on and post. Work has been extremely crazy, since we just moved our office space around, and we had to pack up our desks and move to the other side of the office. I LOVE my new location. There is actually a window with a nice view right outside my cubicle.

Accountability: I've been doing just wokay with my food. I'm eating a lot more than normal, and I've made some bad choices here and there, but I'm also pushing protein. I'm waiting for shark week, which should have been here last saturday, and I feel like a hormonal mess. But, I'm not giving up and my plan for today is good.

QOTD: I have never thought about it, but honesty, I usually let the other person have it, always. I have anxiety issues, so things like this are a huge problem for me. Example: I took my kids to the movies by myself last Saturday while my husband was at the local beer festival with his friend. My youngest sat between me and my oldest son (We saw Despicable Me 3, it was cute). I had a single empty seat on my right, and right before the movie started a guy came in and sat in it, holding his toddler daughter on his lap. This theater is pretty fancy, and all of the seats are very roomy leather(like) recliners. I still got anxiety when he sat next to me, and found myself leaning into my youngest sons seat to give him room. I don't know if it's just from years of being obese and conscious of not encroaching on the other person, or if it's just my anxiety issues. I suspect it's both, really.

Coming up on 2 years since surgery.

B: Light and Fit Greek, coffee with SF coffeemate

S: Premier Protein shake

L: tuna (no mayo, just dry) and a cucumber and tomato salad with Bolthouse Farms Cucumber Ranch dressing

AS: Premier Protein Clear

D: Baked cod and steamed cauliflower

No evening snack planned

My hubby is out of town and that means we're having fish.

Have a great day everyone!

I think it is the years of being obese that make you lean into someone familiar. I do the same thing. I used to make myself uncomfortable to ensure I was not touching a stranger next to me....it is so nice to not have to worry about it now.

It's probably both Deanna because I don't have anxiety but still feel like I'm taking up too much space even at 5 years post op. My mind just doesn't grasp that after a lifetime of obesity I'm now tiny. Maybe it will someday.

Good morning menu peeps. Exciting news for me today!! I finally hit the 100 lb mark! Actually 101.3 lol :) I am so excited, but really it's just another step in the journey. My centre suggested a goal weight of 170 which I was not satisfied with and I think I've settled on 140, but in reality, I plan to keep working at it for as long as I can so who knows where I will end up. I'm only 5 ft 3, so 170 doesn't put me anywhere near a normal BMI.

QOTD- I've never really thought about it TBH- when I'm on the commuter train, I usually have a double seat to myself. and I don't use the arm rest anyway. I remember being in church when I was a kid, and sitting next to a boy my age. We fought over the armrest the whole time! lol- I would push his arm off and then he would push mine off, back and forth for the hour but neither of us ever said a word about it.

Menu-

B: Protein Shake

Snack - greek yogurt with blueberries

L- Tilapia (It was the value item at the cafeteria yesterday and there was enough for 2 meals. $5 for 2 days of lunches is pretty awesome. :)

D- Chicken- we have a lot of leftovers. There's jerk chicken from last night and rotisserie chicken from Saturday, so one of those will be on my plate tonight. I bought cauliflower rice at Costco on the weekend so I may have some of that as well.

Accountability- still the exercise- I was so tired when I got home last night, and had to prep for the bible study at our house tonight- first one in our new house. Our main floor looks so organized and clutter free!! I'm thinking that there will be a lot of decluttering when we start unpacking the boxes that are stacked in our rec room. Anyway, as far as exercise goes, I have to get back at it. So tonight after everyone leaves for sure. No more excuses.

Have a great day everyone!
