So I woke myself up the other night dreaming that I went to an Italian restaurant for dinner with friends... I woke myself up saying OUT LOUD "Don't you have any protein on this menu??!" I remember being so frustrated with the choices on the - very limited - menu... I don't remember exactly what they were, but there were only like 4 of them, and NONE had protein in them!

Even if you've gained a couple of pounds, you will get it off once you are home, or in an area with home cooked foods you can control... in the meantime, do what you can do, and make the best choices you can. It'll all be OK!

I feel that same way when I can't weigh myself while travelling. I have actually considered packing my scale but then I fret that the tare would be off and it wouldn't be accurate. LOL I think we just have to learn to make the best choices we can and ride it out. When I feel stressed about it I try to remember that in the past before surgery I wouldn't have weighed myself for months...years even... and so just a few days is still huge improvement. You are doing wonderful. Enjoy your trip!

Ha- I have packed my scale before on a road trip. What tripped me up was that it was a digital/wi-fi/ Bluetooth. Since I was in a weight loss study, I didn't want to connect to a new network and risk messing the settings for the study I was in.

Last few trips to my parents thier scale needed a battery- I think this time I'll get the battery-- or maybe even gift them a new scale :-)

thanks!

remember- each scale is different, and unless you get one that is calibrated - most of them can be off a couple of lbs.

We really love zoodles at our house! I miss our lack of a garden this year... and I should pick up some fresh zucchini and make them soon!

Good morning! Happy HUMP Day! It's Wednesday so my usual back to back meetings all day... I am still so behind on email. It's painful.

Still waiting on a call back from the surgeon about my weird lump. I put an alarm on my phone to remind me to call during a break I have today.

Accountability: I skipped lunch, ate lunch for dinner, never ate my planned dinner, and added hummus and pita chips with it. Ended the day a little higher in carb and lower in protein than I expected, but no major mistakes so I am not sure why my weight shot up a few lbs again. Dammit.

QOTD: I hate the one arm rest between strangers. On the long flight to Paris I was next to a very overweight man who smelted like stale cigarettes and took up the arm rest (and more). I don't care that he was big, but on an 8 hour flight, could I get a little wiggle room?

2 years post op / 119.5 lbs today / MUST.LOSE.5LBS!

Vitamins: Thanks to advice from Kat W I am going to get back to supplementing iron orally again. So... Patches (D3, Multi & Iron) + Oral (2 Ferrous Iron & Multi)
