What's on your Menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
Happy Tuesday! This week is kicking my behind already and it only promises to get worse. Hoping I can leave by 7:20 so I can make a 7:45 spin class.
Accountability: I was on plan yesterday with the exception of a sugar free popsicle and a 1/4 of sweet potato at dinner. I should have nixed the potato. My weight is inexplicably up and it is ******G ME OFF. UGH
DQOTD: I talk about you guys all the time. My mother feels like she knows all of you and will ask me how you're doing. She knows I went to Vegas with Kelly and Nikki, and she'll ask about others "So, you met Grim the same time you met Kelly, right?" "How are Daisy's dogs?" Things like that. Other friends know you exist, but it's more general. Online support group . . .
My plan:
B: HB egg, .5 single serving container of cottage cheese, 3.5 pieces of bacon
L: Skirt steak (I brought a 1/4 c of salad if I'm still hungry . . . there wasn't that much steak left over)
D: Meatloaf (I think)
S: skinny latte, yogurt before spin, almonds after (I think the almonds may need to go once the bag is finished, even though I weigh out a serving, I know they're not helping with the 2.8 lb gain I'm trying to get rid of. On the bright side, I'm only .8 over my "oh, **** . . . what the hell happened" weight.
my go-to move is to scootch it around the floor a bit to see if I get a different reading :D
Denial, much?

Good afternoon,
I've been busy cleaning since i got up. Yesterday I rearranged my living room.
Accountability I had ice cream bars. Wanted cookies but I stayed strong since they're for my dessert im making for my church potluck.
QOTD I will talk in general about OH to my friend and family. Otherwise im quiet about it. I love all the virtual friends I've made on here.
B egg mcmuffin and string cheese
L tuna and cottage cheese
D roast beef and mixed vegetable
S BBQ pulled pork
Have a wonderful day
Good Afternoon!
Accountability: I had half the shrimp I'd budgeted for dinner, before my parents and older sister showed up to take me to Jeni's ice cream... I had a quarter cup "Darker than dark Chocolate" and yes, actually, it was worth every single calorie. That took my calories up to the new limit, and thanks to the evening snack of a protein shake, I was still over 100 in protein. The "up" side is that I opted to walk home from the ice cream parlor and I kept a good clip for the three mile walk, and I opted to take the long hilly road that takes me about a half mile out of my way. It felt good :)
QOTD: Yes, but there is no single person I chat with very often so it's usually something like "The veterans on the WLS forums really emphasize measuring and tracking every bite" or something like that.
3.5 mo Post RNY/164 lbs/Weight-loss stage
B- 3 shrimp plus 1/8 tsp ****tail sauce plus 12oz. Pure Protein Frosty shake
MS- large banana
L- Arepa (shredded pork, avocado, diced tomato, cheese, and herbs) plus crab cake
AS- can't imagine I'll have one
D- 4 oz Chicken Breast, 3.5 oz liquid carbs
ES- SF Jello
Total Calories: 1006, Protein: 92, Carbs: 65
, Sugar: 23, Fat: 38
Calories and carbs are pretty high - the banana didn't help and I'm assuming that the arepa I found on myfitnesspal include the flat bread which I didn't eat... I brought half the crab cake and half the arepa back for lunch tomorrow :)
Exercise: I rode my bike to work which is about 7 miles. It took me 44 minutes this time, whi*****luded the time I had to get off the bike and scramble while dragging my bike and pack, up a muddy bank to the upper trail because I didn't actually BELIEVE the "trail closed ahead" sign that would have re-routed me through The OSU campus. (I did a number on my dress shoes, but otherwise came off pretty tidy!) The last time I road in and DIDN'T have to scramble up a muddy bank, I took 45 minutes so I'm going to take this as a win! Tonight I'll need to stop at the grocery store on my way home so that should add on about half a mile and an extra hill :)
Tomorrow night I'm going to try a tempo run. I'm picking tomorrow night because my 5K training run is only 2 miles so I hope that will make the tempo run more doable. I'd like to be able to run a 5K in under 45 minutes by the fall. Right now my time would be around 55 minutes, although Sunday I finally broke my 16 minute mile record ;-)

Hi all,
I appreciate the people on this forum, especially the old-timers who share their personal experience with WLS and what long-term success entails. I do mention this board now and again to friends and family, but as I'm still a newbie here and just beginning to know you all, I don't refer to you guys by name. Nor do I mention the name of the board! I would, however, mention it to someone who I knew was considering WLS.
I am the only person in my family who is obese. My mom's aunt was a bit plump, but I far out-distanced her in that regard. In fact, I have mulled over the (likely indisputable) fact that I am the very fattest person who ever emerged from my entire family line, either maternal or paternal, going back to the stone age and before. Now that's a sobering thought! Oh well! I am doing something about it, finally!
First: Cinnamon Buns PP
B: 1.5 oz. Turkey w/ cheddar. Tiny bit stone-ground mustard.
L: 1.5 oz. Buddig ham w/cottage cheese
D: I may try having a half deviled egg, maybe even a whole one. I haven't had any eggs yet since surgery, nor any mayo. I'll see if I can handle it, if not I will have some more Turkey with cheddar.I
S: another PP
Water, water, water!! And unsweetened tea. I do miss coffee! I hope my center clears me for it soon.
Greetings! I'm doing OK today. Good news re: my farm dog. The vet decided to check her over really good, and he talked my parents into giving her some treatments to see how she responds. He agreed that, if the treatments don't work, that he would put her down and cover the cost of that (small-town vets are the best, I swear).
Her shoulders and hips are still shot, she's still an old farm dog with old farm dog problems, and the recent limp and inability to climb or walk far are from a knee out of joint with severe ligament damage. Otherwise she's not quite worn out for an old girl, and they're going to give her one more go. If she responds, the "stay of execution" was well worth it in my eyes. It's costly, but we are hopeful she heals at least to live out whatever days she's got left. She'll never chase squirrels again, but she might get this summer and maybe fall of sunsets to watch from her "spot" in the yard. This slim chance makes me so happy. :)
She's officially the family baby, and will live out her time relaxing in the shade.
QOTD: I don't really talk much about OH with anyone, but I sure value the reading here. I'm in the "5 month stall" a bit and really watching things like a hawk. I'm still averaging a good number loss per week, but the reading I'm doing here is forcing me to not fret about the scale daily. The number is wiggling downward or staying put and I'm nailing this thing. I should check Bi-weekly at MOST, weekly is ideal. It's been a good reminder to just hit the protein hard, keep the carbs down, drink tha****er as much as I can get in, and keep on truckin'. The weight will come off again when the body adjusts. I'm buying "L" t-shirts now instead of 3 or 4xl, so dimensions are changing if the scale isn't. It'll jump start soon so I'm done worrying about it.
B: protein shake - but I'm going to lay off of that and go with maybe an egg white and a bit of chicken.
MS: 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 1.5 oz of blueberries
L: 1/3 cup shredded chicken, snack bag (about 3/4 cup or so) of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots mixed)
AS: 1/2 cup ff greek yogurt, 1.5 oz blueberries
S: 1/2 a chicken breast (probably, we seem to have that a lot) with some romaine lettuce.
ES: small glass of milk? Maybe, if I get to it.
All vitamins, benefibre, colace, enough water to choke a fish, and a couple of decaf coffees.

Remember, no matter where you go.......there you are.
Hello everyone,
Another crazy day at work so a late post it is!
QOTD: I do talk about OH to my close friends and family. Many of you have become like my family and I'm proud to talk about you in that way!
Accountability : Last night was pretty tough for me. I ended up only eating part of my lunch and no afternoon snack so I paid for it last night! It felt like true hunger. I ended up having a pickle, a fork full of chicken salad and my evening snack. I was not happy with myself. Right back on track today and so far so good. I made sure to eat my full lunch and snack. I hope tonight is better!
B: 2eggs, turkey breakfast sausage, 1/2 slice of cheese
L:3oz turkey breast
S: 1 1/2 oz turkey breast, 1/2 oz prosciutto di parma
D: 2oz hot sausage, 2oz ground angus, 2 forkfuls broccoli rabe
S: ostrim meat sneak
Cals:650, Carbs:5, Protein: 89
Enjoy the rest of your night everybody!
