What's on your Menu today (Tuesday) RNYers?
Hello all,
Leaving for Tanglewood later today so I'm busy packing and planning. I may or may not be able to post as much depending on rehearsals and internet access. I'm .8 from my 2nd goal of 135 and there won't be a scale there so I'll just keep on keeping on. Hopefully I'll hit it when I get back and then I'll have to reevaluate again, 5lbs at a time.
Accountability: I'm staying on track but thinking now that I may have a sf gum and mint issue. I like having that after I eat to freshen my breath while I wait to drink but I having such issues with wanting to smack all the time, which I didn't have before, and I'm wondering if it's just where I am and what I'm dealing with or if the gum and mints are triggers. There's carbs in them too so I need to control that better.
QOTD: I talk about to all to my husband only. As peach said, my Siblings, although outwardly supportive seems to think I'm obsessed with it all, as does my daughter. My son is a professional athlete (ballet dancer) so he's very happy and proud but is pretty oblivious at 22 to care about details. Haha
This is the plan but I'll be flexible with it on a travel day like today. As long as it's protein forward and about these calories I'll be happy.
B: decaf with premier protein, sf torani, egg and ham
L: turkey, cheddar cheese stick in a romaine leaf with mustard
D: grilled chicken on romaine with light dressing
S: cheese crisps for the 3 hour drive to Tanglewood

Beautiful day here in Illinois with cooler temps and less humidity too. Lily and I have already accomplished our 3.5 miles and will do another mile after supper. QOTD yes I do talk to hubby about all of you here and I'm so thankful for you all each and everyday. I knew no one in real life who had weight loss surgery when I had mine and I credit your guidance to getting all my excess weight off and keeping it that way. If I'd followed my surgeon's directions on carbs like cereal and toast I would have achieved the 65 percent excess weight loss that was their expectation. Accountability was good with no extra snacks and better fluid consumption. Post op 4 years 10.75 months and weight at 118.2 today. Here's the food plan for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 21/2 oz deli turkey and cheese 1 hard boiled egg D 31/2 oz cashew chicken 1/2 c green beans(rice for family but none for me) S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a great day everyone and make some smart and conscious choices that move you one step closer to your goals!

Good Morning! I am so excited for your upcoming vacation- and honestly a bit jealous. Wow-your protein number rocks!!
Back from my mini-vacation and wanted to pop on here before I started to filter through my many emails. John's birthday stuff was great and Em and I enjoyed our girls trip to Great America-she rode her first "upside-down roller-coaster". I try and always be thankful for the things I can do because of my surgery but as we were walking around the park and not sweating buckets of water I was especially grateful.
Accountability: The menu was mostly TBD and I did mostly okay during the trip. I did eat 2 protein bars at the amusement park and too many almonds on the way home yesterday but other than that pretty much on plan.
QOTD: I do talk to John about ya'all and Em knows some of your names :) I will mention to co-workers or at my local support group about "the board"- I mean it's hard not to as I feel like it's part of me and my success and routine. Lots of value here.

Morning menu peeps
QOTD: I have been on a parenting board that has migrated from place to place over the years, lastly landing on FB... so my family has heard me talk about that board for years (all of us were pregnant and due in Nov/99)... so when I added 'my weightloss' board, no one blinked an eye. I don't call it OH (I think in some way I don't want my family or friends coming over here - although I have invited a few WLS friends here), so I keep it more anonymous. I also refer to you guys simply as my Support Group, because you are, in more ways than just WLS related
Accountability: Last night was OK. I ended up eating the toppings off of a frozen spinach/mushroom pizza my son had for dinner - I added salami to the part I ate. Finished off that pint of Halo Top as well. Frozen pizza doesn't have much in the way of toppings! Boo. I also never ate a snack yesterday, so I still have those here if I need them.
Last night I was talking with my daughter about her aunt who had RNY 15 years ago. I don't see her anymore since she's my ex's sister... but I have seen pics of her online and she looks pretty good as far as maintaining her weight. My daughter said something like "Yes, she's still smaller, but not nearly as small as you"... it was weird to hear my daughter refer to me as 'small'. NSV? Maybe... and the best part is knowing I'm smaller than that *****! (Because she's totally a ***** Hahaha!)
Weight 136.2 - Over a year out, maintenance diet, with plans on about 6 more pounds... maybe? I think 3 more pounds might be fine... and honestly I'm very happy where I am, just want to be here in 5 years too! (me thinks I'm afraid to say 'maintenance'... because if I'm not fighting for a couple more pounds, what will I do??!)
B: My coffee so far, with half and half
B2: I have 3 ounces of sous vide sirloin I made a couple of weeks ago
L: I brought 3.5 ounces of chicken crack! Yum!
S: I have 1 serving of pork rinds and cheese sticks in the fridge if I need them
D: cabbage and smoked sausage
S: Maybe a latte? I've not been making these lately, and when I have, they've been iced

Good morning Daisy and menu crew. Been busy and have been doing more reading than posting lately. Enjoy your vacation Daisy. Nothing better than time with friends!
Accountability - Was good last night, my son has been working off season with a personal trainer and his workout was from 6:30 - 8 pm, so was a later than normal workout for me and meant a late dinner. so no snacking!
QOTD - I have not shared this about myself on this Board. At one point in my journey I became very self centered and perhaps narcissistic. I would post selfies from the gym on a daily basis, post my runs, I was constantly talking about the forum I was on and did not realize how obsessed I had become with my new "look". That being said, I do not try to dwell on my success anymore. I do talk about the forum and the people here, but have scaled back my attendance.
B - Protein Bar
S- Greek yogurt
L - Chicken meatballs
S - Buddig meat
D - Shrimp
Stay Healthy my friends
TheDuffman - I usually see that when folks go through a separation or divorce and often for the first time in years, start to focus on their own life and goals. I guess this process is a little like that as we break up with our food?
I separated from my husband 18 months before my RNY, I do post my runs and my selfies from time to time, but I try to only post to FB groups about running or WLS to spare my regular friends :) Also, I really haven't gotten down to a fighting weight yet so I may get MUCH worse when that happens!
