I saw the picture of that cake... you CANNOT pass up on "nothing bundt cakes"

Back on plan... that's how we're supposed to do it! Good for you!

I need some deviled eggs in my life. Too many of you keep posting them, and my mouth keeps watering... maybe I'll add those to dinner tonight!

Have a great day after your birthday, day!

Good morning :)

We are on vacation so I haven't been up or online early enough to post. I finally caught up on all the posts last night!! I realized yesterday that I have been eating too quickly mostly because the puppies are always trying to share. We went for lunch on a patio yesterday and took them with us. I had one hand on a leash and used the other to eat. I ate so fast because it was just a pain trying to keep them settled.

Accountability: I had packed a small cooler with high protein food and ate that while we were out, but I didn't make the best lunch choice. Also, I decided to try sugar free ice cream last night and that made me so sick. I've been really bad about snacking on carby treats here. Someone bought two huge packages of cookies yesterday.

QOTD: sometimes I will say that someone posted something interesting or that I was posting about something on the forum, but I'm very generic about it since I know they don't know names, etc. But I do the same thing with people in real life -- "my friend said x" "my co-worker said y" instead of using proper names. It drives me bonkers because my brother will say "oh, Dave did this" "Alex said that". I would say, who are these people? -- Oh, my friends from school (he's in college still).

Breakfast - egg, yogurt

Snack - protein bar

Lunch - restaurant TBD

Snack - turkey pepperoni

Dinner - zucchini bolognese

Snack - peanut butter and banana

**I really hope I can stick to this because I had a terrible headache yesterday and I think it was from too many carbs.

All water and vits.

I need to check the label today and see how bad it was... I had made no sugar added cherry pie for dessert and we scooped a little ice cream on the side. I should have looked first.

Hi Meggles,

I am finding I am more and more concerned about you lately, your sugar, treats, not sticking with your menu seems to be getting a little out of hand.

My friend, there will always be vacation, there will always be "someone bought two huge packages of cookies." Always. And if its not that it will be job stress, family stress, money stress, doggie stress.

I really appreciate and applaud you for your honesty and letting us know of your struggles but honestly it seems like to me (just my opinion) your struggles are daily, if not hourly.

You have a decent menu today, not great in my opinion but be honest with me how much did you actually stick to this? Protein bar, get them off your menu, they are glorified candy bars. PB & banana, get it off your menu, banana is not even remotely WLS friendly and I think you have issues with PB correct? You need a lot more dense protein if you want to stay away from the treats/cookies/chocolate/ice cream/cake.

I have no idea if you are at goal, above goal, below goal. But if you continue on this way of eating it will become your norm as it appears it has begun to become that way. You are just shy of 3 years post op I think, girl this is when it gets HARD, HARD, HARD!! I am only 8 months ahead of you, my 4 yr is this November. I struggle daily. I love sugar, always have, still do. Every meal I have to make a conscious effort to make protein forward choices so trust me I get it, oh do I get it!!

I feel like you are self sabotaging. You need to get real with yourself, this has got to stop. I hope you take this post as its intended, supportive and concern.

Best of luck Meggles, I know you can do this!

I thought about getting off OH for a bit because I know I sound like a broken record. It has been almost daily since the wedding... I was thinking that maybe I just need a break, but I don't think that's a good strategy for me.

There are several things conspiring against me -- as you said, life stress that is just an ongoing part of life. I'm a grad student (terrible lifestyle for losing weight). I just got approved for a leave of absence so I will be looking for work as of September. In the meantime I'm feeling unemployed and directionless.

I hit my goal weight and I'm just a bit above that now. I would love to lose maybe 5-10 pounds -- the last CAMAW was great for showing me that I can still lose weight if I want to. But that's the tricky part, isn't it?

I really appreciate everyone's guidance and feedback. I'm not oblivious to the problem... I just need a good kick in the pants -- mostly from myself.
