Planned icu stay post-op question

Men are the high fall risks.

The last time I was in the hospital, the nurse wouldn't let me go to the bathroom without someone. I wouldn't mind being escorted, but she said someone had to stay there with a hand on my shoulder while I was going.

Not gonna happen.

She didn't trust me, so she put the bed alarm on.

I used my phone to reach under the bed and get the model number. Then used the internet to download a pdf of the operating manual. I had the alarm off and was in the bathroom by myself 5 minutes later.

I know how to operate the Posey Restraint System!

Yep I was just thinking Posey time myself, lol. Guys.... they are the first to scream if they get a broken hip or head bleed due to a fall too!

I would like to add that they are at high-risk of matricide during man-colds, too.

Just wanted to put that little addendum in there...

We're top heavy.

Plus we're somewhat on the stubborn side. In case you hadn't noticed.

Haha! That's funny...Dilaudid(and morphine) doesn't do a thing for me so they'd probably freak when they found me in the bathroom!
