Good morning,

I have housework to do today. Otherwise no other plans.

Yesterday I had something scary happen to me. I got extremely hot, shaking and felt like i was going to pass out. Finally got the courage to get my lunch made and ate but that didn't help so I ate 2 protein bars and some pineapple rings and its juice. Finally it started to pass and took a nap. I didn't eat my cucumber last night.

QOTD I come here every day to post my menu and support. Attend biweekly support groups at my center. Try to get my steps in every day on my fitbit. Log my food in mfp. Try to be mindful of what I'm eating and forgive myself if I eat off plan.

B ham and cheese omelette and string cheese

L tuna and cottage cheese

D yellow squash taco casserole and corn on the cob

S egg salad and cucumber

Have a good day

Good afternoon ;)

Late to the party because we just had a playdate for the puppies. It was amazing. Our puppy and their's look so much alike. They are littermates. They are the same colour, but they also have really similar mannerisms. Now we are continuing on with a little roadtrip. I am forced to be good with my snacking because I accidentally packed my lunch bag in the trunk. We will stop for lunch soon.

Accountability: the last of the carby junk is out of our house. I have packed a cooler for today and I'm going to try to reset this week.

QOTD: I'm not very good with mindfulness and exercise, but I have chosen a lot of tools to pair with my WLS. For example, I use a water reminder app. I get up and drink a full bottle of water to get me going. I use a med reminder to make sure I take all my pills and vitamins. I check in on OH everyday or close to it, and post when I can or when I feel I have something to contribute.

Breakfast - 1/2 Tim's breakfast English muffin

Snack - the other 1/2, fruit

Lunch - bunless burger

Snack - peameal bacon

Dinner - tbd

Snack - yogurt

All water and vits.

Good afternoon folks! First chance I'm getting to post today. I was out early for my run to beat the humidity then came back and packed for our trip- we leave tomorrow. NSV- going though the beach stuff and finding 2 swimsuits that are too big! Typically they are two small by the next season!

Accountability- I blew my 55g carb goal yesterday.Opted to eat two donuts for breakfast and they set me behind from the start of the day. No regrats- but that'll be a once in a very while treat. I'm on track today.

QOTD: The two things I've incorporated into my post op life that I'm seeing the most long term value in is 1)regular exercise and 2) goal setting. Goal setting use to overwhelmed me- cause I made grandiose goals. I like that I keep them simple and short term. Re: regular exercise-- I once heard Dr Oz say the one thing that is totally reversible independent of meds is heart disease. That's why I exercise- not to keep weight off, but for cardio vascular health. Of course I post or read here daily, weight & measure food etc.

195 today, 26 months out

M1: 2 eggs, scrambled, two beef hot dogs (we're low on groceries!)

M2: 3.4oz bourbon chicken chunks, Greek yogurt.berries

M3/4: not sure- we may go to a BBQ, if not I'll pick up burgers to grill.

Hi All, popping in for a late post. Good day--just getting stuff done and relaxing. I stayed in bed until 8:30am today which is UNHEARD of for me. I felt like I wasted 1/2 the day. Lol.

Accountability: Doing great!

QOTD: I think support networks are the most important thing for me. I have in-person because my mom and boyfriend are both post-op, too. And of course all of you :) I try eating more mindfully, too. I aim to put the fork down between bites and really chew and slow down.

B: cheese stick & Dunkin Donuts Butter Pecan coffee (holy crap that stuff is terrible for you! 40 carbs for a cup of coffee!?!?)

S: Cheese Whisps

L: cheeseburger, no bun

D: ?? no plan yet!

Hi everyone,

Super late post for me today! Big surprise, right? LOL!!! As long as I get here...that's what's important!

Crazy busy day today! Had a quick breakfast then took my dogie to the vet. Once home I cut and trimmed the lawn then went down the street to the organic veggie cart to buy my wife her veggies for the week. My wife's best friend is celebrating her birthday so cooked dinner on the grill for us. I ended up skipping lunch and my snack. It was way to hot and humid to eat. It would have made me sick. I did pound the water though, I think I probably drank over 1 1/2 gallons today. I'm sure that I will be way up on the scale tomorrow. I hope because I didn't eat my snack and lunch that I'm going to be hungry late tonight.

QOTD: Focusing on eating good protein, eating to live, coming here everyday and posting on MFP everyday.

B: 2eggs, 2 slices bacon, slice of cheese

L: Did not eat lunch today, Too hot too eat

S:Did not eat lunch today, Too hot too eat

D:3 1/2 oz itialian sausage, 2 forkfuls broccoli rabe

S: ostrim meat stick

I didn't get online yesterday, so I won't post my menu here, but I really enjoyed reading about everyone's QotD, so I wanted to add my own.

My husband and I have been slowly changing some eating habits for the last year or so. We were married last October, so leading up to that, we were hoping to drop some weight for the big day. He was already in his evaluation for WLS (our insurance requires 6 months, but his went on a bit longer, had a few hiccups getting into a few specialist appointments). We both started increasing our water intake, and we had been going to the gym. I started eliminating carbs from the house, stopped buying bad snack foods, and actually planning meals for the week. We started logging our food and workouts on MFP. Our biggest challenge was portion sizes. Sadly, measuring and weighing and being more mindful of nutrition labels didn't come until he was scheduled for surgery.

He had RNY May 18th, and I just started eating what he could eat, though I do have more meals/snacks in the day than he remembers to eat (lol but I still feel actual hunger, and he's still at a point where he could care less if he eats). But they are weighed/measured and controlled now. I've started replacing bad habits with less-bad habits. At night, when I wander into the kitchen, I make myself a cup of herbal tea, instead of gazing into the fridge. I've stopped watching hours of television at night, and started focusing more on hobbies I used to enjoy when I was younger, like scrapbooking, drawing, painting, and writing. I'm a part-time photographer, and wedding season kept me fairly busy with events and then editing afterward (that's winding down and I'm going into High School senior photo season). I also garden, and will get my fall season seeds started so they'll be ready to plant out around the end of August/start of September.

Photo of us on our wedding day (October 28, 2016). It was a super casual ceremony with a JoP and our immediate family. We had a big (casual) reception the following day at a State Park.
Since then, he is down over 100 lbs, and I'm down about 25.
