What's on your menu (Photo Friday) RNYers?
I got those boots at this boutique resale shop that all the rich ladies bring their things to sell... they are a European brand and when I looked them up online they were $750.00... they were brand new, in the box, and even came with extra taps... they have the European sizing as well.
I think shoes became my passion years ago because I hated buying clothes... Shoes didn't show how fat you were!
All of these have been purchased since I've lost weight though... so apparently I still have shoe issues

You are a rebel! One pair!! LOL
When I keep seeing that chili dog casserole, it sounds horrible and yet probably a guilty pleasure at the same time.
A few bites of halo top would not happen on my watch. I caved in buying it one time was preparing for bed and said oh I'll just take a few bites and ate a whole pint. Not that I'll never eat ice cream-ish type foods, they just don't come into my house. They're in my category of I only eat them in public

I guess you have to like hot dogs to enjoy the hot dog casserole... I know it's not really healthy, but it does fall under low carb! Hahaha! And it's really just a hotdog with a couple of Tablespoons of chili, onions, mustard and topped with cheese... just all mixed up together!
Public foods... that I can totally relate to! There are things I won't bring in my house (cheetos), but now that I've reached goal, if I'm at a party, I can put a few on my plate and eat them... everyone is watching, so I can't go back and scarf the whole bowl down!

Good morning. I've been MIA for a few weeks. Work and life have been kicking my butt. I just got back from a business trip and am trying to get back into my regular diet. I didn't go too far off the path but eating out every night will do some things to your head. I had to struggle not to get takeout last night. But I did good.
QOTD: I think I found it on an internet search. I was on Bariatric Pal but it was so slow moving and I didn't care for the layout.
B: coffee and wake up wrap from dunks
L: 2oz deli ham and 3 cracker cut slices of cheese
S: turkey pepperoni
D: egg beater omelet with ham and cheese, 3 slices bacon
S (if needed): greek yogurt

Morning! At home today, the last quiet weekday for a while. Still finishing our school work up, catching up house stuff.
qotd- I found OH through Google a couple of months before I even saw the surgeon. :) i joined right away so as to pick everyone's brain.
Food today, 10 months post op-
B- baked smoked salmon and egg cups are in the oven.
L- I have some leftover shrimp and veg from last nigh****ermelon
S- yogurt snack if I need it.
D- Parmesan flounder, green beans with roasted red peppers
photo- these are my favorite shoes. Big ole ugly crocs, lol. I am also no fashionista, and cheap with clothes. They have a story. I bought them last year after our move. I have plantar fasciitis and the move and all the hours on my feet had me in terrible pain. Someone recommended these. For months my feet did not touch the floor without them on. The only exception was for church on Sunday. It worked. Then I had my surgery, and my feet don't hurt anymore. Poor feet. Anyway, there are paint splatters on these. When I painted a couple of rooms after the move, I couldn't do it without these on my feet. So they are really ugly. We got chicks in May, so now these are my "chicken shoes". They live on my deck and I wear them in an out of the chicken yard, and when I'm doing other messy yard work. :)

Cute chickens, and really cute chicken coop too!!!
Are your chickens laying yet? I got mine mid April, and I'm getting impatient and ready to see some eggs already! (I really don't think it'll be until the end of August, but I'm still peeking every day hoping!)

Good morning menu peeps. Another hot one in Illinois with 80 degrees before 7 oclock. Lily and I have our 3.5 miles in already and will do another mile after the sun goes down. QOTD I read about OH on my information pamphlet from my surgeons office. They mention it but don't always agree with what is said here. However they are one of those centers that says crackers are fine for snacks so I listened to advice here over them and lost over 100 percent of my excess weight and have kept it off 4 years now. Accountability was good yesterday as I was busy so there was no time to snack. Post op 4 years 10.75 months and weight at 118 today. Here's the food plan for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli turkey and cheese 1 hard boiled egg D 31/2 oz ground beef patty 1/2 c coleslaw S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a great day everyone and make some smart choices that move you one step closer to your goal! Pic is of a new pair of red duck shoes I bought last night at a Gander Mountain that is closer. I can guarantee I would never have worn red shoes when I was obese. The best part though was instead of being 69.99 they were 20 dollars. Gotta love a good deal!
