Hello Everyone!
ive enjoyed my free week but now it's time to get ready to spend a week at Tanglewood. It will take a lot of meal planning but I'm up for the challenge. I'm close to my 2nd goal and I'm not going to let the travel get in the way of reaching it.
Accountability: it's been a good week and I've staying on track daily! I may switch chicken for fish etc but nothing major and it's all in mfp
QOTD: I found OH over 10 years ago on my own when I was researching weight loss surgery before I got the band. I was on it for a bit after then dropped off. I came back when I started having issues with the band and was considering revision. Which btw, was the best decision I've ever made!

L: grilled chicken with light dressing, goat cheese and romaine
S: roast beef with babybel, almond milk with decaf and sf torani

QOTD: I signed up a month or so before my surgery. OH kept coming up in searches I was doing for RNY info to prepare for the surgery. I am so grateful I found you all and have been here ever since.
Photo Friday:
Current favorite shoe if you judge based on what I wear most often...
Foot is healing well though...only ten more days in the boot hopefully!
Finally.... Mini meatloaf! I've never made them before and they are soooo good! And also totally adorable! I just had to share. Background is green bean casserole. I recently learned how to make it without using any canned soup! Whaaaa?!?! I didn't know this was possible. It is for my Guy (high fat, high carb with the fried onions and heavy cream) but I did try a few bites and it is nom nom nom.
Have a great weekend!

I feel your pain ... I went and saw my trainer/exercise physiologist last night, and he was shocked I was only two days out of the brace, and that they had kept me in for six weeks. I'm actually in more pain since I'm out of it because my shoulder is not used to moving. But all part of the process.
So made the yogurt again last night, a container of whole milk Fairlife.... which is not a full half-gallon, so I reduced the start of yogurt to a tablespoon and a half - I had a coffee measure that amount. And then I ran it for six hours, and it sat for another half because I wasn't home ... it came out creamy, more like regular yogurt not Greek thick. I did also stirred it, took it out of the metal container and put it in a glass container before I refrigerated. Because I think it's just over cooking on the bottom and the metal will hold the heat. I was happy with it. I may try a little longer next time to see if it thickens a little more. But it was fine and not lumpy

I strain mine after I cool it over night in the fridge to get it thicker. I am still eating this batch, it tastes fine just has a weird texture. I will let you know how the next one goes with less starter. Also...I will try transferring it to plastic before I cool it just in case.
Sorry you are having more pain instead of less... but you are on the final leg of the process hopefully. Heal heal heal!

Posting quick, I'll have to come back later and read everyone's posts! I don't be have a picture because I just don't really have any favorite shoes. When it comes to spending money on myself I'm just a major cheapskate! I have one pair of tennis shoes that I wear the majority of the time, flip flops that I wear for hitting the pool or putzing around outside at home, and a pair of dressyish sandals I wear to work on occasion. My workplace is business casual, but tennis shoes are acceptable. I'd love a pair of pretty boots for the fall, but my calves are enormous and none fit.
QotD: I heard about OH by random internet search, and stalked around. Found out my mom had an account here, but hasn't been active in years (she had RNY about 15 years ago). I joined once I decided to start my own evaluation and pre-op process, after my husband had already had his surgery in May. Honestly, I wish he'd come on here too, but he's not really interested in support group stuff.
Breakfast today was scrambled eggs with a little ground sausage and cheese
snack:1/2 C cherries
lunch: tuna packet and a dill pickle spear
snack: Greek L&F
dinner: I'm on my own this evening, but my mom might be coming into town late. Running errands and doing the "company is coming, hide the mess!" Dash. I might pick up something at the store to throw on the grill for a quick dinner.
Question just out of curiosity: do you plan snacks because you're hungry or to avoid becoming too hungry? Maybe there's no difference? I plan to eat small amounts every few hours to avoid becoming too hungry (or blood sugar lows) and overeating later, but I also still have my big ol' uncut stomach.
I know I need to eat about every 3 hours to keep my blood sugar stable (I'm susceptible to lows since my conversion to RNY). I do much better when I plan for them at the outset rather than scramble around if I get too hungry/blood sugar falls. When that happens, I have a harder time controlling my macros.
