Question about cheese and fat

Isn't it funny how each of us are so different. I can eat anything sweet. Sugar doesn't bother me at all BUT fat and my pouch are mortal enemies.

I don't eat low fat anything. Many days I'll hit 100 to 150 grams of fat. I think it helps avoid the constipation that a lot of folks get. And it keeps my coat nice and shiny.

My first real food a couple of weeks post-op was ground beef chili. I held off on steak for a few weeks longer for fear of not being able to chew steak well enough. Instructions were to remove the casings found around sausage, hot dogs, brats, beef sticks; a good idea I don't follow as closely. For the love of cheese, I should have caught on sooner to the revelation cheese can be a significant constipation culprit to the digestive system. Fair warning. Full fat products are usually higher in calories but make up for it in having a higher satiation point; this was most noted when switching from light Greek yogurts to a whole milk, plain Greek yogurt found at Walmart under their label Great Value in the large tub size. 4% cottage cheese is filling at a small portion size, creamy, and satisfying.

A lot of fried foods don't sit well with me, but full fat dairy products don't bother me.
