What's on your Menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
I did a pre-measured amount in a small bowl and did fine with it - but this morning I tried some that had been made 'overnight oats' style and they were bland and icky, I couldn't finish them (partly because I was nauseated from )....this protein/fiber/miralax dance is INTENSE

Last year after several visits in a row to the urgent care clinic, this old lady doctor gave me a lecture about how I was entering the "maintenance phase" of my life, and how I needed to find a more permanent doctor to manage my "upkeep". I felt like an old car. bwahaha! (but I did find a doctor!)

I'm fortunate that our insurance will cover the infusions 100%, they called me yesterday to tell me. I did ask the doctor today about which he would recommend for me. He prefers the infusions because each dose is based on my current weight, taken that day - whereas the injections are a static amount. Both should help my problem, so I'll go the infusion route for now and see how I handle it.

Morning menu folks.
Im meeting an old friend today for happy hour so I'm going to do my best to act like a mature RNYer and not like an extra in the movie Animal House.
I've been very carb conscious lately and we'll see how that pays off at my next weigh-in which I'll do in a few days. I'm going to have some shrimp ceviche today and I may have some oysters tonight. I've also been cooking up my own bunless cheeseburgers and they're delicious. Too delicious actually.
I finally found a strawberry Premiere Protein shake and lord it makes me think I'm drinking Pepto Bismol. Not good.
QOTD: Many New Yorkers have zero visible sky from their apartments but I'm lucky to have an excellent view of the western sky from my bedroom. I try and catch as many sunsets as possible. Sometimes I'll go out on my "terrace" (fire escape) and just take it all in. I find it very relaxing. Only place I'll see a sunrise is on the elevated subway platform and that means I'm headed to work early so it's not quite the same level of peacefulness but I do enjoy the dawn light.
I think sitting out on a fire escape watching the sunset in New York sounds extremely cool!
Can you tell I've been in the country too long??!
