Good morning Daisy and menu family!

Accountability: Last night I did indeed imbibe in a glass of red wine. It was the 3.5 oz pour and I made it last three hours. I also ate two mini egg rolls. This took my total calories to 676 and my carbs to 35 (turns out the mini egg rolls weren't as bad as I thought).

QOTD: [EDITED] I'm Christian, but I usually celebrate the month of Ramadan, which requires that you take in no food OR LIQUIDS between dawn (the moment the Eastern sky starts to lighten well before sunrise) and sunset. In the long days of summer, I can't tell you how beautiful a sunset looks as you're anxiously awaiting that first sip of cool water!!!! [END EDIT] Now that I'm in the city, I don't see either as much as I'd like. However, if I'm in the right place on the bike trail in the evening I'm able to see a beautiful sunset over a stretch of the Olentangy river.

3.5 mo Post Op/ 165lbs / Weight-loss Stage

B- a couple of bites of left over Greek Yogurt with Protein Powder and one can of Pure Protein Frosty Chocolate

MS- none

L- Triple Zero Chocolate yogurt

AS- string Cheese

D- half a chicken/kale/low-fat mayo sandwich on sprouted grain bread (expect to eat half before run)

ES - remainder of above plus a SF jello before bedtime

Total Calories: 622, Protein: 92, Carbs: 39, Sugar: 15, Fat: 11

Exercise: 2.6 mile run plus 3 plus miles of walking

Tonight I have a mediation class that's held at a work location about 35 minutes from where I work during the day and home. This is a GREAT program but it kills my ability to ride my bike to work, which I haven't done yet this week. After the class I'll go home, change, clean up from last night's dinner and make a sandwich. Then it should hopefully be cool enough to go for my run. I've been starting out on the trail with my Samsung Health app 5K program, walking then running the assignment going South. Then at the end of the run I turn around and walk back North. This is the best way to make sure I get my walking it because if I'm closer to home when I finish the run it's too tempting to cut the walking short :) And tomorrow, God willing, I'll ride my bike to work! (just looked, it will be in the 90s riding home tomorrow, and I'll have my box of produce to lug with me - YIKES!)

Hi Daisy and menu folks. I have been extremely busy in my new job and have been making many day trips to visit vendors. I had to entertain two visitors from China last week and am in the process of planning a trip in November to Mainland China and Hong Kong, I will be away for 10-12 days and am only able to pack one cary on suitcase. I will be doing alot of Laundry, but am looking forward to the trip.

Accountabiliy was good. We went to the fair and I ate the meat and beans out of a half burrito and had a few pieces of a bloomin onion. No deserts!

B - Protein Bar

S - greek light and fit

L - buddig meat

S - Beef Jerky

D - shrimp

Exercise - gym night

Stay healthy my friends...Mike

Hello Everyone!

The pic of the sunrise is beautiful! So nice to see that on a train while someone else is doing the driving I bet.

Accountability: I did very well yesterday and stuck to plan. I switched out fish for chicken but that's it.

QOTD: During the school year I see the sunrise on the way to work depending on the time of year. It's beautiful over wickford cove when I pass by. Someday during the summer I should actually wake up early so I could stop and see it and not just pass through.

B: decaf, pp and sf torani

Happy hump day!

QotD: if I have to be up, I love the sunrise better than sunset. It makes me feel awake. Generally it's Rising as I'm heading to work. My favorite sunrises were when I was staying in a timeshare in the mountains around Colorado Springs, because the mornings were so crisp and the sunrise dispersed al the morning mist that had gathered in the valley where my cabin was. Beautiful!

accountability: low blood sugar in the afternoon yesterday, ate a package of Ritz cheese sandwich crackers (a coworker had them at her desk and I felt like I was going to pass out, so ate them without a second thought) Salty snacks are my favorite, and I've been craving more of those crackers ever since. AFTER crackers, my blood sugars were still only at 60, so I went to our little snack bar at work and grabbed a can of orange juice. Sipped on that until I was at 100, and dumped the rest. Doctor reduced my meds and insulin doses at my appointment last week, but I may adjust them further. I'm eating low carb more sustainably than I ever thought I would.

breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs, 1 oz leftover salmon, coffee with PP added

lunch: homemade chicken salad on lettuce leaves

snack: I brought 1/2 a mango, peeled and sliced, which I'll have pending blood sugar reading. I'm going to the gym after work and don't want any incidents there.

Dinner: bacon cheddar chicken brats on the grill, and grilled yellow squash

ive been doing lots of yard work and gardening for excersize/activity, but we're under a heat advisory for the next few days, so I'll be hitting the gym. Temps will be high 90s with humidity and tomorrow is supposed to be over 100. Yuck. Swamp @$$ season is what DH calls it.

Good morning!

I see the sun rise pretty well every morning on my walk to work. Depends on the time of year, but it is often dark when I start out. I always like seeing my shadow get longer over the hour. Sometimes on the brutal days, the shadow gets longer on the way home too.

B: protein shake.

Ms: none, I've been stuck in meetings. Forgot to incorporate that

lunch: salad with tuna and yellow peppers

As: 1/2 cup yogurt with 1.5 oz strawberries

Supper: salmon with a cucumber/tomato feta salad.

No evening snack, but given I forgot the morning one, maybe I'll do a cottage cheese with berries.

will definitely hit the gym tonight after supper, then go to volleyball for an hour, then play drums for a couple of hours getting ready for a show. Busy night :)

Remember, no matter where you go.......there you are.

Good morning everyone! It's fine Wednesday morning and I'm in a great mood. I just received an awesome raise w/retroactive pay from Sept 2016 and will have another raise in August. I love my government job! Today is supposed to be hot again, in the 80's. I used to dread the heat so badly. I used to sweat from just bowling or walking, especially in sand - buckets! Now, it doesn't seem to bother me and I don't get overheated like that anymore.

Accountability - 100% on plan yesterday. I think my anxiety is making want to eat more lately. I still want to calm myself by eating...I've been chewing gum and guzzling liquids instead and although it stops me from eating, it doesn't take away the anxiety like food. It doesn't happen as often, but if I let myself I could really do some damage.

QOTD - I often see the sunrise on my drive in to work, depending on the time of year. The sunset I can see from our backyard. We often sit out back and watch the sun go down. I miss the 'w/a glass of wine' part of it though...

7+mo post op - 196.0 - YES!

b-coffee w/heavy cream and splenda, HB egg

l-kielbasa

d-garlic shrimp

v/l started

e- 60 min lap swim

Have a great day all!!!
