stay away from carb choices ideally until you are at goal. I would start slow with purees and move on from there once your DR says it is ok. chew everything a million times before you swallow. portion your stuff out. 1/4 cup was my standard on measurement early on

If you have not visited eggface page do a google search on the world according to eggface and you will get ideas of puree/soft foods

I had a good surgery, no issues so I was on pureed food before a week out. That said, I still moved too fast. If you're free to start solids, like the others suggested, I'd stick to very soft and moist foods until you're feeling comfortable. Greek yogurt at first, then try canned meat like tuna or chicken. The canned meat is mushier and moist, both will help your new pouch out.

Fun Fact! "Chewing" soft or even liquid foods is good for your gut system! As it is recovering from the trauma of surgery and your other post surgical challenges, some of the smooth muscle action of your gut is disrupted. The act of chewing, even if you you're chewing water, helps to restart the gut rhythmic contractions and will help with your recovery and minimize intestinal issues.

Good luck, we're all pulling for you!
