Ohio chicks are nothing but trouble!
You know, it's so popular here, there's even a lunchmeat version of it...

I didn't get wise until I was close to 3 years post now (almost 4 yrs now). I used to STRUGGLE weekly and it didn't matter what I tried I was always backed up. I was miserable. Many of the RNYers on the menu thread use Miralax (we call it Restoralax here in Canada) so I picked up a bottle in Walmart and it has CHANGED MY LIFE! I use a cap full DAILY in my morning coffee and I have no problems going to the bathroom. Note I have a gallbladder full of stones so I eat super low fat and not a lot of fruit or veggies so I NEED the Miralax to help me go. Once I get a surgery date and get my gallbladder out I will go back to eating much higher fat, like bacon, avocado, olive oil, butter, peanut butter that kind of stuff and will probably not need the Miralax daily.
Earlier in April I was eating a ton of bacon and I was going to the bathroom like twice a day, ummmmm that never happens LOL LOL but it was the high fat that was keeping me regular (also was when I had my horrible GB attack).
Everyone is different for what works but I swear by Miralax. And its approved for WLS patients and "normies" to use on a daily basis as its not habit forming. My best girlfriend who is a "normie" uses it daily and loves it, she always had problems and now is regular. My Centre is totally fine with it, I asked when I was there about two months ago.
Good luck!

I do a daily probiotic and that seems to keep things going. I use the True Nature brand from Costco. My husband also does a probiotic and it took him a lot of experimentation to find one that works for him, so don't be surprised if you try one out and it doesn't do the trick.
As others have suggested, Miralax is also good and I keep that on had for when the probiotic isn't handling whatever has occurred up in there.

Miralax. I don't tale it daily but I did for a while after surgery. I had a really really bad constipation episode not too long after surgery. Now I just take it when I can feel things slowing down. In fact, I'm in a bit of a crisis because I need some now and I'm out. Maybe I'll try a prune, lol.

How much fat are you eating? Low fat diets can cause this too. I eat mostly meat, and eat zero fiber, and have no issues with constipation.
Constipation sucks.
