What's on your menu today (Monday) RNYers?
Good Morning! We had a nice weekend and ended up going shopping at an outlet mall that's about an hour and a half away. Didn't but too much-but did find some shorts that Emily and I needed since we planned a day trip to California Great America (an amusement park) next Monday. It will be warm and we plan on some water rides so we don't want to wear jean shorts. We found some really lightweight ones at Justice...lol I know it's a "juniors" store but the larger sizes fit me and Em thought it would be cute if we matched-plus they were only $5 :)
Accountability: Saturday was good and yesterday was until the evening..then there was a protein bar, a banana and 3 peanut butter crackers. I know today will be better.
QOTD: I feel it's about the same. I am clumsy and alway****ting my elbows and knees on stuff and that sort of thing so I always have bruises.

Hello Everyone!
I have no visitors this week or singing so I can breath a bit. I love visiting family and friends but I'm finding out how difficult it is to stay focused especially when I don't have as much time here as I want. I also need to lower my goal a bit. I think I'm losing focus with feeling at goal as well. I know I'll have to figure it out as I go but I just feel like since I'm still in the "miracle time" I should just let my body go where it wants and stop getting in the way of it. Does that make sense?
Accountability: my daughter left some Halo top ice cream here so when everyone left from visiting and I was alone in a weak moment I tried it and liked it too much. I realized I can't control it so I washed it down the sink but not until eating way too much first. That will not enter the house again.
QOTD: Very interesting question. I have always been a big bruiser but I have t noticed since surgery. I'll have to pay attention to that.

s: iced decaf, almond milk, sf torani, ham, mustard, babybel on a romaine leaf, low fat cheddar stick

After one encounter with halo top I said the same thing -- never coming in my house again.
When I started to get closer to goal, I kind of had the mental attitude of I'm going to take it 5 pounds at a time. Because face it, after being morbidly obese how do you know?
I know for me going for body fat testing helped me know exactly where I was. Went for a DEXA scan

Yes, I decided today to lower my goal from 140 to 135 to help me have some incentive and I'm going to check on getting a DEXA scan. I think that really would help because I honestly don't know.

I didn't sleep much last night, either. 3.5 hours, according to my Fitbit. Ugh - that means a rough day ahead. At least I only have one meeting today!
QOTD: hmm...I haven't noticed, so I'd guess not....

Good morning everyone. Today is going to be a great day!
I had the ugly cry in the dressing room at JC Penny yesterday. I am going to a wedding tonight and I needed something to wear. I grabbed a pair of size 10 slacks and they fit. I couldn't believe it. I thought to myself that maybe the pants at JC Penny are just made bigger. Then I tried on another pair and they fit too. Its all so hard to wrap my head around.
I am about 20 lbs from goal, so it also gives me the motivation to up my game and to get there.
My food the day-
2 eggs, 1 ounce black forest ham
mahi mahi burger, with 1 T tarter sauce
chomps meat stick
Grilled steak kabobs
Have a great day!
Nice on the size 10- so exciting

Good morning DD2 and crew
Happy Monday ? don't know what's in the air but allergies are kicking my butt, and I have an art class to teach today and hopefully my last day wearing the brace, surgeons appointment tomorrow.
Accountability: I get what you say Daisy about hollow legs, sometimes I say to myself - did I have surgery? I fell into a hole Saturday night with the right before bed eating, and had crackers and butter. So I pulled myself together yesterday, and stuck to my menu, 30 G carbs, and didn't nighttime eat. Went to bed feeling better woke up feeling better. Day 2 pull it together. In maintenance, there's a difference between making a choice for special occasions or special dinners to eat something different and falling into a hole. Saturday night I fell into a hole.
B: latte with fair life/MCT oil/MiraLAX, eggs
L: salad with grilled chicken, 1/2 peach
D: petite sirloin steak, mushrooms and onions
S: Orange Julius protein drink, peanuts, iced coffee with Vanilla Premier, peanut butter/cream cheese/crushed pecans

I have been in your hole many times with you sister. It is real. The difference is totally real. I can feel when I making a choice because I am logically deciding to have something I didn't plan and when I am just falling down that hole. Best part of WLS? We can get out of the hole.
