What's on your menu today (Monday) RNYers?

I am not laughing at you I'm laughing at myself, but when I read banana bread of course I'm having memories of my banana bread debacle of July 4. Since it was a holiday will probably always remember it.

Funny it's not like I hadn't eaten that banana bread before, I had. But It had to do with quantity as well as not having eaten anything else with it no protein or fat to buffer the absorption.

The lessons we learn sometimes are hard.

Couple weeks ago I had a banana muffin incident. It was not lovely. Evil stuff.

I wish I could go to an in person support group. There just aren't any in my area. Side eye is probably real though if I had to guess. You are doing great and look fantastic, people tend to side eye success.

The support group that I attend locally is a good group of people. I have never seen anyone give side eye and it's a very open group.

I haven't been to an in person group in awhile but one of the last times I was there I was at my very lowest weight and feeling super awesome--weighing in 114 soaking wet. And some super awkward chic sits next to me and asks if I am pre-op or post op. I wanted to deck her. So not side eye--not even looking right at me!

Yayy I found your post! I have wanted to get a kayak for a long time but I drive a small sports car that I don't want to give up. An inflatable kayak would be perfect. Until I saw your post I never new there was such a thing! What is the manufacturer of your kayak? I see they have quite a few on Amazon. Any information you coud give me would be greatly appreciated! i bought an intex off amazon for $49.99. Came with paddle also.

it does have a weight limit but in not aware offhand what it is, I think 220.

Thanks for getting back with me! I ordered an Advanced Elements AE1007 off of Amazon. I just had surgery May 2 so I am still heavy - around 235 - I'm also 6 ft. tall. I read the reviews and this one was rated well. It is a 2 seater but I can leave out the other seat so there should be plenty of leg room and maybe room for my dog too! I live in East Central Florida by the Space Center. I will be taking it out on the Indian River but plan on staying close to shore. I also like to fish but not sure I will be able to - have to wait and see I guess! I wanted a sturdy one in case I take it out on lakes or the nearby inland St. Johns river (flows North!) as there are lots of gators! Not sure I want to try the ocean but maybe early in the morning when the water is glassy and calm. I am excited - it has already shipped and should arrive between Friday or the beginning of next week. Thanks again for your reply! Roxanne

Good morning DD2 and crew. I am working from home today, so I got an early start. I have a meeting with a new therapist at 10, and it's 10 minutes from home. I sent the kiddo to my moms, so I should be very productive.

Accountability: I did well overall, but I did have a bit more carbs than I would have liked. That being said, I started on a water pill on Friday night and as of yesterday I was down 7 pounds from Friday. I have dropped 18 pounds since surgery, and I weighed in yesterday at 158.0. I haven't weighed that much since like March. I'm getting closer to my goal weight, and it's totally motivating. My surgeon told me he removed 5.8 pounds of skin and fat, so it actually adds up almost perfectly.

DD2QOTD: I don't really know. I don't bruise easily now, and I don't remember bruising easily before surgery either. I guess it's never been a problem for me.

23.5 months since surgery

Since I'm working from home I haven't planned any of my food for the day. I will update tomorrow with my actual menu for today.
