What's on your Sunday Menu RNYers?
Good morning weekenders! I'm back home from a wog (walk-jog) at the lake. It was a pleasant morning, not as hot and humid and there were alot of people out enjoying the outdoors.
The only big thing on the agenda for today is a haircut and maybe some clothes shopping at the local thrift store. I have several large bags of clothes to drop off, so I will take a few minutes to browse the racks for something smaller. I like that I am losing sizes, but many of the clothes that I'm donating are barely worn. Oh well, as one colleague said, it's a good problem to have.
QOTD: I love to garden and have some veggies and other flowers, but I'm not always the best with keeping things tended. I enjoy putting things out in the spring, but when the summer heat and humid hit, things sometimes fade.
Breakfast: turkey breast, hard boiled egg
Snack: Fuzzy Navel protein shake
Lunch: TJ's chicken sausage, cauliflower
Snack: 2 ounces ham
Dinner: cod, Brussels sprouts
Exercise: 4.5 mile wog, swimming?

wow!! That garden exhibit looks like it was amazing!! Love those pictures!!
Didn't do much yesterday - yoga, went for coffee, went to the gym, made yogurt, made a couple other things for lunches this week, went through more of my father's boxes of stuff (OK - so maybe I did more than I thought). Today I'm supposed to get together with a friend, but not sure what exactly we're going to do....I have a lot on my "to do" list, so hopefully I'll have time to get to a lot of it today.
QOTD: give me any plant, and I'll probably kill it. My mother has a wonderful green thumb - I think that gene skipped me, unfortunately.

Those pics are amazing. Looks like an incredible place!
QOTD: I love love love walking through gardens and enjoying other people's talents, but I am just not wired for gardening, myself. Grim, however, is a freaking amazing gardener and we have the prettiest backyard in town. Have I told you all how lucky I am, lately?
These pics are from 6 weeks ago. The garden has exploded since then, but I don't have more recent pix yet.
I had a nice day yesterday, but today is all about work work work. I am so behind and need to focus and try to get caught up on some big projects.

Good morning! Those photos are awesome, very cool! Today we are going to the beach for real, we didn't get there yesterday because BF slept in until 9, which never happens. Today I am swimming at noon, running some errands and getting ready for the upcoming week. BF's interview for the local job went well. He was invited to meet the staff this coming Friday and will likely be offered the job. I couldn't be happier. He will be working in the Bay area through July at least. This last week was tough for me and I just don't see myself ever getting used to that life. I know a lot of people do it, but it's just not for me.
Accountability - felt a little better and was able to eat. had a couple bites of a well done burger for lunch and a few bites of scrambled eggs and kielbasa for dinner.
QOTD - I have a green thumb, but apparently I'm supper lazy these days. I know how to plant, grow, pot and care for all kinds of plants indoor and out, but I am unmotivated.... I just recently got my rear in gear to take care of my indoor house plants and they are all doing well now. My son has taken to watering my poor neglected outdoor flower pot that don't have a drip set up. I want to pot more since I have several beautiful empty pots from my mom... sounds like motivation to me. I see a trip to Home Depot in my future.

Erin those pics are incredible! I am so jealous! I have family in Ottawa and my cousin Brendan went to that exhibit and the pics are just out of this world, imagine the work that went into all that!
Accountability: We went out for dinner to our friends last night, I expected them to bbq as they ALWAYS BBQ and guess what they served, lasagna, sourdough bread, red wine and butter tarts for dessert. UGH! I ate a tiny piece of lasagna, had water and went home starving and had some deli meat & cheese roll ups when we got home at 10pm!!!
QOTD: YES I am a green thumb, fingers, toes! I love gardening. And I am quite particular about my garden, grass and flowers. I pretty much don't let hubby mess with my grass or flower beds, he is allowed to water and that's it LOL I have a "system" and don't want it messed with, I know I am coo coo!
