What's on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?

Hi everyone! How is everyone? One day to the weekend! I have an eye check up after work today, I think I might be in the "need bifocals" stage, I hate glasses so not looking forward to this possibility.
Accountability: stayed on plan yesterday. NOTE: this accountability part is totally voluntary, if you don't want to participate, don't, that is 100% fine! I do it because I feel I need to tell you guys when I totally go off plan. I am close to 4 yrs post op, so I don't tell you if I had 3 extra bites of something, I am talking about if I said my evening snack was going to be deviled eggs and instead I had ice cream and a chocolate bar. Please understand this for people who are not Vets yet (including myself) to get used to using MFP and eating & staying on a plan. Well that is how I see it guys. Your feedback is welcome.
QOTD: What good habit do you wish you could maintain? My dogs shed a lot and I brush them but not as often as I should so when I do it its a massive job as their coats are so thick and under their neck area gets tangles and its like trying to brush a young girls matted hair, it hurts them and its like I am doing yoga poses trying to fight them to get it done. If I just stayed on top of it then it would not be so bad when I get around to it.

10+ years post op, living & loving life!
My accountability is posting what I ate not what I am going to eat. I track during the day and can see the numbers as I go.
I appreciate the energy and time you put in this board.
Today I ate shrimp, boiled eggs, baked cheese (one more bag left),a protein bar, yogurt, banana, and 9 macadamian nuts.
The amazing thing for me is that there is no starchy carbs above. Every day another day forward.
QOD-I wish I could keep paper towels in my house. I wish I felt the slightest inkling to dust.
Have a good day. I'm going to sleep and then get up for and go to another cranial-sacral massage. I like them very much.
Morning!
qotd: there are so many. Dog brushing is a big one. Charlie sheds like crazy, and his fur is like pine needles everywhere.
i also wish I was better at keeping in touch with people I don't see on a regular basis.
Accountability: welllll, it was good until I decided to run errands after work. I hadn't eaten my whole lunch, and with having a late dinner, I decided to stop and grab a protein drink from a convenience store. It was a chocolate Gatorade one. Had a quick look at the stats. Thought it said 5 carbs....once I finished it, I had a closer look because I was like, that wasn't bad....
45 carbs! Not 5. Forty.five. That's more than I've had in an entire day since surgery!!
Menu:
B: premiere protein
L: leftover chicken fajita meat
D: tbd. Fridge is officially sadder than sad. Really need to shop tonight.
S: skyr with bean buds
have a good one!

Good morning, Daisy and company! Sorry if I sounded negative about the accountability thing yesterday. I think it is a great tool, but I am just trying to be really cognizant about what head games I am playing with myself. I have spent the last few months feeling really down on myself about eating even when I am doing nothing wrong. It feels unhealthy, and I need to figure it out. I am grateful to hear how you are using it.
QOTD: Lots of things, but especially exercise routines. I really like running and elliptical but now that that is off the table because of my achilles, I haven't found something else I like that fits into an easy routine for me.
B: Chai Latte Protein Coffee
S: Black bean Hummus and Pita Chips
L: Green Salad with Grilled Chicken and Onion Vinaigrette
S: Chicken and Cheese Cubes
D: ?
i totally understand this and relate. the therapist really did help me realize all of this is a balancing act. pick and choose.
I also just finished the audio book about how to give less f$%## about things. it was helpful. so before I act, i say, is this important for me to even care or stress about. If it doesn't serve me, I don't let it bother me.
