Question: When was your first stall? - Cross-post

I am curious as to when most people saw their first stall on the scale.

I am on day one of week 6. Week 5 (according to my centres protocol) is the first week of soft diet, which for us means no more pureeing everything . Week 5 resulted in a loss of 0.2 lbs for me. I weigh daily and my week looked like a yo-yo. I'm hoping this is just my body adjusting to the food change, but I'm curious if others experienced this around this time too.

Thanks in advance.

Define "stall". IMO a stall is 3 or more weeks at the same weight. Early post-ops seems to call it a stall when they haven't lost for a few days. I think its just your body adjustmenting.

so true, I am a very-newbie. Just feels weird to be at the same spot for a week so early into my honeymoon stage.

I hope I am just 'adjustmenting' :)

weeks 2 & 3 post-op. I started losing again during week 4, and dropped like 6-8 lbs within a couple of days.

To add to the disappointment of gaining 7 pounds post-surgery in the hospital, which took a week to lose again, I stalled for about 10 days at week 3. I was so discouraged. But, then the stall broke, and I saw a rapid loss. Then another stall about week 6. You will probably develop a pattern. Our bodies need to take a time out and adjust and regroup.
One friend told me to increase protein and water intake when I hit a stall. It's part of the process. Figure out your pattern so you can roll with it and not let the stalls discourage you.

According to your timeline, your weight loss looks pretty good! Hang in there. Stalls are a normal part of the process. Frustrating as &$%#, but normal.

My advice is to stay away from the scale.
