Hi everyone, happy Monday! Had a great weekend, very busy! How was your weekend?

Accountability: did great on the weekend, I ate all protein forward, I worked into my plan a couple mini apple turnover bites and I was happy because I worked it into my plan I didn't have a freak out by "eating off plan." Only thing is I am really bloated today and need to go to the bathroom, so now I am second guessing if in fact it was a good decision to eat the turnover bites. Sometimes this surgery consumes way too much of my life energy....

QOTD: Lets talk eggs. How do you like to eat them now post surgery? I love deviled eggs and bought a dozen yesterday and plan on making some for hubby and I this week. Eggs did not sit well with me for the longest time post surgery and I still find to eat them over easy or in an omelette it sits very heavy in my pouch, its seems to be hit & miss with eggs.

3.8 yrs post RNY - maintenance

B: tuna/peppers/balsamic + 1 vanilla PP used as creamer for decaf coffee

L: 1 tandoori chicken skewer (take out) + hot sauce

S: yogurt & raspberries

TOTALS: 1007 calories, 120 protein, 45 carbs

L: 120oz a day is my usual

E: step for 60 mins then muscle pump for 60 mins, supposed to rain tonight so no dog walk

Have an awesome day everyone, be fabulous! Photo Friday - lets do "before & afters!!"

Good Monday morning menu folks! I had a nice weekend, very relaxing, but I got in some walks and some pool time. That always makes me happy.

We're in for a couple of hot days now, so outdoor walks will be harder. Also this is our week off of water aerobics classes, but I will still try to get in some pool time anyway.

QOTD: I love eggs. I have either hard boiled or scrambled eggs most mornings. Omelets were one of my first foods to eat when I got back to solid foods. I am lucky that I've never had problems eating them.

Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 1 ounce ham

Snack: Fuzzy Navel protein shake

Lunch: TJ's chicken salad

Snack: 2 ounces turkey breast

Dinner: chicken breast, broccoli

Exercise: 50 minutes on the treadmill

Good morning everyone! I had a nice lazy weekend hanging out with Grim and the kittens, which was lovely. I was exhausted and it's going to be another loooooong week ahead.

Daisy, you are going to be so jealous! Tonight my department is hosting drinks and appetizers at the yummiest restaurant in Boston, next to Fenway Park--Sweetcheeks BBQ. We took Daisy and Arun last summer to try their legendary BISCUITS and I am pretty sure their lives were never the same. LOL. And yes--I am eating the biscuits and honey butter tonight in lieu of dinner! #maintenanceisabalance

QOTD: I was off of eggs for 8 years with my lapband. I never found a way to get them to stay down. Now I eat them all the time, all the ways! I love overeasy best, but I make hard boiled often, and I like them soft scrambled, too.

I'm at the vet with Nikolai who won't put any weight on his back foot so no full post for me but I wanted to comment on eggs. I've had to eliminate over easy, poached, or sunny side up. Is it too hard on my pouch? Nope, but I LOVED dipping toast into the runny yolk and if I can't do that, there's no point to the egg. HB or runny scrambled for me, please

Happy Monday! My weekend was okay. The weather was beautiful so we were at the beach for a while both Saturday and Sunday. I was able to mostly ignore the worries about the partially submerged car but will have to start dealing with that today. I wonder if it has to dry out for a few more days before they decide if it can be fixed or not?

Accountability: Not so good. I ate a lot that I shouldn't have last night. Today is another day...

QOTD: I love eggs all different ways. I eat scrambled eggbeaters every morning and have been eating a lot of the egg salad made with cottage cheese (and the everything bagel spice). I do love deviled eggs as well, but have never made them (need a simple recipe).

15 months post-op, in maintenance:

B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese

L: tuna salad, cottage cheese and pickles

D: Frozen something (need to scout in the freezer)

S: yogurt

I make deviled eggs very simple and plain (kids more likely to eat them that way). just moosh up the yolks with some mayo and a small squirt of mustard (I use dijon usually, but whatever you like). Spoon back into the yolks and sprinkle with paprika.

I do something similar... I use mayo with a splash of mustard, but then I add a smidgen of balsamic vinegar, and definitely pepper and a bit of salt, and some SF sweet relish sometimes, but not always... I mu**** all into oblivion and then stick it into a baggie and pipe it back into the eggs... sprinkle with paprika on top for pretties... but be careful, if you accidentally use cayenne, some people will complain.

Morning Daisy and the gang!

quick post, slept in a little today, which is never great on mondays, and yet also great? Haha

qotd: it took quite a few months for me to feel good about eggs. Fried over hard is the best for me right now in terms of breakfast-y eggs, but even those still sit like a rock sometimes. But deviled is prob my favourite, and it's funny, I've never tried making my own, but zero in on them at every function!

anyone have a favorite recipe to share?

egg salad also works well for me with sliced cucumber.

menu:

B: premiere protein

L: tuna and peppers

D: tbd, after posting I'll pull something out of the freezer. Probably ground beef, or chicken breasts.

have a great day everyone!
