What's on your Sunday Menu RNYers?
Quickie for me
yesterday I went to a demo paddleboard event at the lake. I have only done paddleboard yoga once before. Got to try about 6 boards out which was awesome. I fell off twice once into rocks where I tore my pants and have some very bad cuts and bruises.
Rrying to decide if I want to go to restoration yoga today or not. Need to get off my @&@ if I'm going though. Still on liquids /puree and foods that grind up to nothing. I actually put a burger with cheese in the food processor and added to broth and veggies for a cheeseburger soup. It sounds disgusting but whatever works I suppose.
After I went to paddleboard I ran errands. Old navy had stuff marked 1.99 so I got jammie pants some jeans and pants. So cheap!!
qotd: I just remember being hot and fat during my summers which meant indoors. Some of my favorite memories are spending the night at my mema and papas house and getting up at the butt crack of dawn and going to the flea market. In my grandmothers Mercedes. It was hilarious watching my mema asking for thinks for .15 that were marked a quarter. That is my friends why I am the super shopper I am today. Lol
foodnfor today- more liquids purée etc
Hey everyone! Today I'm a parent of two teenagers! My youngest is 13- he's asked to go to sky zone and Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. He's not a sweets eater so my soul is secretly sad he's not interested in cake. So there's my plan for today.
I got my 5 mile run in already- breakfast is done too. I'll be making baked ziti for the kids early, they'll eat it during the week for lunch. We'll leave for sky zone by 4pm.
accountability: though I felt like I was munching on everything- I tracked it all and my carbs were at 60 and protein at 120. So it was good day.
qotd: favorite summer memories involve any where we had family over and we used the pool. The pool was always 100x more fun with others. We loved running in circles to create a whirlpool effect, then turn around and try and oppose the waters force.
197.8 today, 26 months out
m1: 2 scrambled eggs, 2 turkey sausage links, 1 slice turkey bacon & 1 protein bar
m2: deli chicken/ham/cheese roll
m3/4: out Buffalo Wild Wings I'll probably squeeze in a late yogurt too

Ha! My brother and I LOVED making whirlpools in our pool, then racing to see who could get back to the start point against the current.
Good morning weekenders! It's a laid back weekend and I am enjoying relaxing. Yesterday I went for a long walk and had some pool time, but I think I will just walk today. It's not supposed to be as hot so it should be pleasant.
We've already been out to Trader Joe's for the week's provisions and we got some nice meat and veg. I like my weekly TJ's runs. I feel like I get a variety of things that are easy to prepare and healthy choices.
Breakfast: TJ's ham
Snack: Syntrax Nectar protein shake
Lunch: chicken, broccoli
Snack: turkey breast
Dinner: sashimi
Exercise: 5 mile walk

Good morning weekenders! I didn't have time to post yesterday, and I feel guilty about it, ha! Took my dad out to lunch for his 84th birthday, it was really nice to see him and he is doing well. Today we are headed to the beach with the pups and I am going for a swim later. Errands and cleaning and food prep - the usual...
Accountability - I had 3 SF fudgsicles last night, I don't know what came over me! ETA the 2 spoons of peanut butter I forgot about, ugh
QOTD - I had wonderful summers as a kid - we traveled a lot and were always at a pool, lake, beach, fort, battlefield or museum along the east coast somewhere! We had a big family reunion picnic every on 4th of July at my Aunts house in Connecticut and they were always the highlight!

b-coffee w/heavy cream and splenda, eggs
l-steak

Exactly why the scale and are not friends! I was down to 198 and then this morning I was 200.1!! So dissappointed!

Morning all!
Ran out the door super early this morning to get some errands done, last minute school supplies for my son's first day of kindergarten tomorrow. It's staggered entry so he only goes Monday and then gets to wait until the following week for the official start in his classroom, but they want supplies sent tomorrow and I apparently had forgotten to grab enough glue sticks. It gave me a good excuse to go to walmart and I grabbed some cheap shirts and another swimsuit after yesterday's suit debacle. I found one that looks very similar to the old one I had to toss out and the best part is that you can't see through the butt on this one
Yesterday was mega busy - sold almost all of my sculptures, dealt with website problems, did laundry, helped play lego city undercover, and then we went and spent a couple hours at the pool. It was way hot yesterday so the pool felt great, but I learned that I will never put goggles on and look underwater again....I'd rather not know what is floating around on the bottom thank-you-very-much .
Accountability - great, I didn't follow my menu exactly but I still made my protein and fluid targets - 113.6g of protein and 5.6g of carbs. I really have to push fluids, that's probably my biggest challenge...that and timing the vitamins! I get them in but it's tough.
QOTD: One of my favorite summertime memories is doing farm calls with my dad. I would spend a couple weeks in the summer with him, he lived up in Wisconsin a few hours from where I lived with my mom. He's a veterinarian and when he was practicing he worked with large animals primarily. I would tag along in his old diesel buick while he did herd checks. One time we got to go to a cattle auction, I remember the auctioneer talking very fast, and for lunch we had hamburgers and chocolate milk. I even got to see him do surgery on a holstein once - the cow was standing up the whole time, I believe it was because one of it's stomachs had displaced (the abomasum). I actually still have one of his cow magnets on my fridge (these are the magnets farmers would give cows if the cow had eaten something metal...the magnets would travel through the GI collecting whatever sharp objects they had ingested and would come out the other end. My magnet is a new one, thankfully
Menu:
B: Premier Protein Shake
S: Cottage Cheese
L: 2 slices deli turkey, laughing cow cheese
S: TBD

Have a great day all!
