a huge congrats on reaching Onederland! There are still days when I start to say I weigh 2-something (to myself, of course), for some reason. I guess I was in the 300's for so long that even the 200's sound skinny!! Plus that weight came off so fast that it's hard to make the mental adjustment.
Accountability: did fine yesterday. Went to a Mexican place for lunch with my friend and I had 1/2 of a huarache. I don't think I stuck to my plan at dinner - I had a second protein shake late in the day (chocolate with a big shot of coffee - I had a huge headache because I hadn't had any caffeine all day because of my EEG - so made the shake as soon as I got home - ahhhhh - headache gone!). Then I had some chili for dinner. No snacking last night, so I came in at under 1700 calories (my self-imposed limit for maintenance). YAY!
QOTD: I guess it would have been my 25th birthday. My student staff at the time had a huge surprise party for me. Also memorable - but in a bad way - was my 27th. I got drunk for the last time in my life. Too many gin and tonics. It was years before I ever had another gin & tonic - and I swore to myself I'd *never* get drunk again, and I haven't!
2 years 1 month out (maintenance):
B: homemade Greek yogurt with fresh raspberries
S: coffee with half & half, lemon/raspberry protein shake (not as good as it originally sounded)
L: meeting a couple friends for lunch, so not sure - something safe
D: either steak or salmon - but I'm thinking salmon because I may be a bit heavy on calories by then (because of having lunch out). If so, we'll save the steak for tomorrow. Probably a salad or some coleslaw made with sesame-miso vinaigrette to go with the meat.
exercise: went to a sunrise yoga class. May go to the gym later on today to do weights and the recumbent cross-trainer.
Good morning! Trying to pop on here real quick before it gets much later. Hubby is home after being away for a business trip since Wednesday so not sure yet what we will end up doing today. It's going to be another hot day here- not even 9am and already 90 degrees with a high of 107.
Accountability: I stayed up about three hours later than I normally do and in that 3 hours waiting for hubby to get home I ate ALL. THE. FOOD. There was granola, yogurt and a protein bar. Today is a new day.
For my menu today lunch and dinner are up in air since I don't know what we will be doing. Here is what I know: B: latte, eggbeaters, turkey sausage links S: latte, yogurt, deli meat and granola
E: 6 miles done
W/V on track.
Hope everyone has a nice day.
I was going to post earlier but my friend was in a hurry to go. I donated plasma while she went shopping. Then stopped at a couple stores before coming home. I wanted something sweet got 2 doughnuts and already ate them.
Accountability i didn't have the chocolate pudding instead had vegetable salad kit mix.
QOTD was my 40th birthday. My friend had a surprise b-day party for me.
B spinach, red pepper, ham and cheese omelette and string cheese
L tuna and cottage cheese
Doughnuts
D cheeseburger no bun
S shrimp and salad mix
Have a good day
Congrats Erin on onederland
My 50th birthday was spent with just my twin in San Francisco. I surprised her when our oldest friend showed up for dinner.
I don't really plan out my food for the day. I eat and log it. I am going to a party tonight. Outside movie in our friend's yard. I'm bringing roasted vegetables and they are cooking meat on a grill. Someone else is bringing salad so it will be easy.
Hi all!
I posted before the QOTD so I'll do it now, though I doubt anyone will actually see it:
My 14th birthday. We had just moved to a new house right by a lake and I got a canoe for my birthday, (which was really for the whole family). I invited several of my girlfriends and we went canoeing in the lake.
