Hello !

Completely normal to have anxiety....

Relax.... Breathe.... Everything is going to be okay...

Quite honestly.... I did not sleep the night before my surgery.... Worrying & stressing was a complete waste of time & energy...

If I were to go back & do it again? I would tell myself... Don't worry... Everything is going to be okay. Surgery is going to go well & you are going to be fine....

Focus on being positive.... Remember to follow the rules.

SIP? WALK? REST? REPEAT

This journey is only just beginning ...

Embrace this opportunity...

Take care & good luck!

Sandra

Remember like any major life change (moves, new jobs, relationships, babies) there will be a period of adjustment (even a few WTH did I do days) but soon you won't remember life any other way.

Choosing the helping hand of bariatric surgery to address my obesity and related health issues was the best decision I ever made. I hope you will soon be feeling the same!

Best wishes & speedy healing!

Congrats on making it through Opti; I was on it for 3 weeks too, and it seemed to take forever at the start, then to fly by at the end.

It's so normal to be nervous; I fluctuated between excitement and anxiety. One thing that really helped me was starting a youtube wls channel; seriously. By documenting the journey, I gave myself a wonderful distraction technique. At the time I told myself, even if I only keep the videos for my private viewing, they'll be nice to look at later. Then I decided to share and am so glad I did; the support has been amazing, and needing to do weekly updates keeps me on track and accountable.

You'll do great! Surgery itself is almost a non event; you'll only remember the prep, and next thing you know, you'll wake up and it will be all done and you'll be on the loser's bench.
