What's on your menu today (Photo Friday) RNYers?

What a sweet pup!
I hope I am not being too intrusive here, but I noticed that in your accountability section you seem like you have really been struggling, day after day, lately... I am not sure how far out you are from surgery, but I know that I have really had to buckle down to keep my weight in comfort range once I hit maintenance. I started experimenting with cookies and chips like you seem to be, and suddenly I was fighting regain, hard. I know it is difficult, but I suggest doing a hard reset on the snacking and forcing yourself to say no to the stress eating before it becomes a habit too hard to break.
Sorry for being nosy--just wanting to offer support. This is hard.
I don't think you are being nosy, you are very correct!! I'm a little over two years out, so maintenance as well. It seems like ever since the wedding I have been off track. I think a lot of it stems from the food that was left here after the wedding. An absolute ton of desserts. And I have thrown quite a bit out.
I did the extended CAMAW (strictly) for two weeks before the wedding and lost 7 pounds. I had planned to get right back on it on the Monday, but there have been too many temptations. Most are gone now and I haven't been replacing them. I struggle with throwing food out due to food scarcity as a child, but I do really well at not buying it. I will keep plugging away. I watch my weight religiously, weighing every morning and that seems to help me. Thanks again for your concern -- it is such a beneficial part of participating in these forums :)
Good morning! My menu today looks a little bit different, but not too much that I'm straying, lol. Forgot my vitamins at home though, dang it! Will just have to take them at weird times later.
B: Protein shake (surprise surprise)
MS: 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 2 oz strawberries
L: Honey Garlic Chicken pieces (some sort of snack pack thing I saw while shopping for lunch) and a few pieces of cauliflower and broccoli
AS: Same as MS but with blueberries
S: Probably an ounce of salmon, and a few pieces of steamed veggies of some sort.
ES: maybe 1 or 2 oz of cheese and a couple of triscuit thins, but I've been veering away from evening snacking as much as possible. Decaf black coffee or bengal spice tea with 1 sweetener, is my friend in the evening.
Rode my bike in to work this morning after a couple of weeks of walking in. It's rainy here and very windy, so my legs are burning like crazy. Later on I'll be walking my neighbourhood with a stop at Timmy's for a decaf in the middle there.
QOTD: The last ticket I got was in 1995 for speeding. I thought I got caught in Brampton, ON by one of those red-light cameras they love so much, but I never saw any ticket come in. It's been over a year now (and I was in a company car so I'd have heard about it) so I figure I'm safe. Haha

Remember, no matter where you go.......there you are.
Are those wolves (don't look like family dogs!)?

Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!
Great picture of you with Oliver and Amy, Daisy!
No big plans for this weekend. Just relaxing and trying to stay cool.
QOTD: I got pulled over for a headlight being out, but didn't even get a warning ticket.
Accountability: Yesterday: Protein - 59. Calories - 1,060, Carbs - 97.
Today:
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks
L: Birdseye Voila chicken stir fry
D: lettuce, chicken, avocado, low cal dressing
S: light & fit Greek yogurt
Exercise: Walking Blossom around the subdivision
Photo 1: For the first time in a blue moon, my fingernails are all long and not broken off, so I polished them and my stubby toes.
Photo 2: Our dog, Blossom is terrified of the fireworks so we got her some sedatives at the vets. She slept for a while and then got up and walked around like she was DRUNK! She was stumbling around and running into things and her eyes looked glassy and when she panted her tongue lolled off to one side. But fireworks were booming all around our house and she didn't seem to mind one bit, so the medicine worked! It was hard not to laugh at her looking so drunk. Here's a picture of her looking inebriated.
Have a WONDERFUL Friday and a SUPER weekend everyone!
