What's on your menu today (Thursday) RNYers?
Running super late today. Had a follow up appointment this morning with the foot surgeon. Got my stitches out! Yay! That means I can shower again!! Woot!!
Menu: Missed breakfast (uhg) so now I am having Greek yogurt and a granola bar. I have another yogurt for late lunch. Dinner will be left over steak. Snacks...not sure. Wish me luck!
QOTD: I am CPR Certified for my work. Though I am a counselor it is still required by my company and I am always glad to be up to date with it just in case.

"I am basically food's creepy ex-girlfriend. I know we can't be together anymore but I just want to spend time hanging out" ~me, about why I love cooking so much post WLS
Good afternoon guys. Sort of a dull day around here in PA. I'm in some pain (not due to my surgery... Arthritis) Anyway I'm fine just cranky. Hope to get some writing done today and walk up and down the hall ,(,I live in an apt,)
When I was a kid I went through all of the red Cross swimming badges including life saving. So I was trained in "artificial respiration" it was over 50 years ago so I don't think i'd be of much help. I loved swimming and am looking forward to getting back to it.
Question: when you guys talk about oneder land... Do you mean a100 pound loss since surgery..., or do you include loss from consultation on?
Menu: B 3 oz. yogurt S protein drink L hamburger S hummus and a wedge of babybell D Hamburger with diced tomatoes and cauliflower rice. Have a nice day everybody. Nancy

When my daughter had her first child, I had to make sure I had the flu shot and was baby CPR certified. She paid for the class. She also made organic babyfood for the first child. Second child, pre-made was just fine. Also, when my grandaughter got to be around 2 years old and wouldn't eat anything, then candy, junk food and food that fell to the floor become "Ok" :).
I have needed someone to administer the Heimleich hold about 6 times in my life. I choke on food. The hospital did swallow tests, etc and did not find a problem. One time it was a corn muffin at Cracker Barrel, another time it was almonds on a kayak trip, once at Costco on a peach sample, popcorn at home and pretzels at a campground and at the mall. Each episode causes me to pee my pants, cry afterward and become totally exhausted. At Costco, I was holding my throat and banging things, and going up to people. Finally a little whisp of a girl did CPR on me. The store manager wanted to call EMS, but I refused. The last incident happened last winter, I was parked at the end of the mall parking lot. I ate a pretzel and bent down in the car for something. I jumped out of the car and looked around, no one to help me. I kept ramming myself into the front hood/fender of my car. My new car has dents from that episode. SO PLEASE, EVEN IF YOU ARE UNSURE, PLEASE TRY TO HELP SOMEONE IF YOU SEE THEM CHOKING. I am so thankful to my family members and to the little woman at Costco for saving my life.

I'm eating ham,milk,cheese today.
For dinner we are going out for our 33rd anniversary. I have no idea but I'll make it work.
One time at a CPR renewal class I learned the rate of hand compressions is the same beat/rate as The BeeGees song Staying Alive. Never forgot it and it helped to make sure everyone was doing it fast enough.
