3rd try, to get in here, to post...

Good morning, DAISY, and Menu Peeps!

Yesterday went as planned, until suppertime. Chicken sat too long, or something, and was too dry...too a big bite...you can guess the rest...anyone with an RNY can guess the rest...The meal was over...I'm staying on soft stuff today...My guts feel like I swallowed broken glass...

QOTD: I have been certified/recertified since 1976...even taught, for some years in there. If I had to perform it for REAL, now, no doubt I would revert to "old" CPR, not the new counting system. My very first time of doing CPR, on a REAL person, I was a brand new nurse, working in a small hospital ER. I broke 2 ribs, on a really elderly man. I remember crying. The doctor yelled at me - for crying! He said "better broken than dead! But-maybe next time, don't ride him like he's a prize bull" I never forgot that! That old man lived another 10 years. Too bad that was before video cameras !! I haven't thought about that, in years...thanks for the memory, DAISY :)

I only have 4 Short Peeps, today. My blue-eyed girls...and it's raining, so we are putting up our "reading castle" AKA sheets across the couch and chair. It's Baby A's FIRST birthday, so we are singing a lot, and she's looking at me, like I'm just a tad more cray cray, than usual...

B: Coffee (Sore gut, or not)/Protein shake

L: Yogurt/Protein powder

S: SF Pudding/Protein powder

D: If guts will allow, will have beef hot dog...if not, more protein yogurt

W: Including hot peppermint/ginger tea, with my gallon today

E: Power walk, on the agenda..Rain scheduled to stop...I'll be clamoring to get out of the house!!

** NEED Y'ALL TO KNOW HOW MUCH I LOOK FORWARD TO THIS THREAD, THROUGHOUT THE DAY. THANKS, TO EACH OF YOU, FOR TAKING TIME TO CONTRIBUTE**

My first CPR class was in 1976 and every year until retirement. Also ACLS every 2 years from the mid 80's on. All my years I only performed it once. I was in a lot of codes. Usually pushing drugs.

For the lay people know where your employer's defibulator is. Easy to use and can really save lives.

Good morning everyone! Today is supposed to be a very warm and sunny. It's my mom birthday today, she would have been 78. I am working until noon then headed to Cayucos where she is buried to visit and go for a walk on the beach while I'm there. This week has been an emotional one for many reasons and I'm really, really missing her.

Accountability - Had a very small pouch day yesterday (probably from getting sick the night before). Just a couple bites of my lunch and maybe half my dinner was all I could do. Still feeling it today.

QOTD -I don't know CPR. I really should learn, everyone probably should.

7 mo post op - 198.4 today - back to signature weight again

b- coffee w/heavy cream and splenda

l-smoked fish taco innards

d-leftover ribs

v/l started

e-long leisurely walk on the beach

Have nice day OH
