Happy Day Menu Crew! How is everyone? I am good! Hot & humid & Sunny here today, not looking forward to the humidity, thank god for A/C!
Accountability: well the boredom monster got a hold of me last night, it was bad!! There was 6 peanut M&Ms, 4 tootsie rolls, two handfuls of Doritos and a cob of corn with tons of butter & salt, yup I was in an eating frenzy and of course it was all crap food, its not like I get into a frenzy with chicken breast or pork chops. UGH so annoyed with myself.
QOTD: Do you know how to do CPR/first aid? As a RN & working in a hospital I am required to renew my certification annually but being in a hospital there is a "team" around you in a code where as in the "real world" you are alone and required to think on your feet and act fast, very different than a hospital setting.

Good Thursday morning menu folks! It's a rainy day here in MD. We really need the rain so I'm happy for that, but it means no outdoor walk for me. Oh well. I'll hit the treadmill and then tonight is deep water aerobics, so I'll still get my exercise in.
QOTD: I've been CPR certified in the past, but I haven't been for quite some time. There are classes offered at work and I'm tempted to take one, but I've always been concerned that I wouldn't be able to do it physically. I wonder if now with less weight whether that would help.
Breakfast: hard boiled egg, 2 slices turkey bacon
Snack: Fuzzy Navel protein shake
Lunch: turkey breast, cauliflower
Snack: TJ's ham
Dinner: TJ's Balsamic chicken
Exercise: 50 minutes on the treadmill, deep water aerobics

Happy Thursday! It is a short workday for me then I'm off for the weekend. This working stuff really gets in the way!
Accountability: I did good yesterday other than substituting a chili lime burger (no bun) for leftover grilled chicken. DH had one too and enjoyed it as a change from beef burgers.
QOTD: I was CPR certified MANY years ago, so though I would have an idea what to do if I had to I'm not really qualified.
15 months post-op, maintenance diet:
B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese
L: egg salad made with cottage cheese
D: leftover chicken not eaten yesterday (?)
S: cheese sticks, yogurt

Morning everyone!
Had a great visit with friends last night at a cottage they rented close to the city. Accountability was good, they made fajitas for dinner, so lots of meat and veggies.
qotd: I was in the past, but it was when I was working with the Canadian military in Bosnia, (as a civilian). So it was basic cpr, and more what to do if you get in a car accident in a possible mine field. Look...feel...prod.... hahah some things stay with you!
but I'll be taking a new course soon as part of my job.
menu:
B: protein shake
L: cream cheese with cucumbers and everything spice and some deli meat
D: tbd taking hubby to the airport from work so probably something quick like tuna and peppers.
have a good one!

let me start with QOTD: I haven't taken a formal class since high school. I have a vague recollection of how to do it in an emergency situation.
More liquids today on the docket. My PCP is back in the office so I will call first thing and also call the gastro to see why that order for the test has not been called in. As a bonus my weight dropped 5 pounds overnight. yippee for pain and hospitalization. I have not seen 119 on the scale since May so I suppose that is a perk to all this headache.
Today's plans? Work and MAYBE yoga. not sure how I feel about downward dogging when I'm only on liquids.
Planned food:
premier protein RTD/coffee
water
jello
chicken broth with puree veg/chicken/pork and some cottage cheese
jello
yasso bar?
Haven't been around much as we are visiting family in upstate NY. I miss everyone!
accountability: measuring has not been an easy option here but I'm eating only protein and a few veggies while I'm here but I have no idea exactly how much I'm getting in.
QOTD: no clue but I probably should learn!
I have no idea what is being served today but my sister is making sure that there is protein at every meal. I just wanted to stop by for a quick hello.
