Screw fruit and go really easy on veg. High fat, high protein, low carb is how I have kept 180 pounds off for nearly six years. And heavy on the vitamins... D3, Magnesium (Citrate, not oxide), Iron, B12.

I'm not a vet but here are my thoughts. before surgery I was allowed wheat products and not white/sugary stuff. When I look back into MFP, I was having triscuits, flatout wraps, and the like.

Once I had RNY, I knew I could not let those things in because I needed to get that weight off asap so needed to not seek carbs. that is what lead to be being almost 300 pounds.
