What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Good morning everyone! It's feeling like summer finally came! I to have a short week this week and next. I'm off tomorrow and Tuesday for exams that I don't feel very prepared for, but really need to get my butt in gear. These are the last 2 for my Chartered Insurance Professional designation. I started it many years ago, but then put it on hold while I had babies and would just like to get it behind me.
QOTD- I have a crazy memory for telephone numbers- my mom has it too. I can remember at least 2 of my childhood #s- we moved a lot. When my sister and I started working part time we paid to have our own phone line. We lived in a tall 3 story townhouse and she and I had the top floor to ourselves. With our own phone line it felt like we had our own apartment. My number was super easy 265-0562 - a palindrome lol. (One of my awesome nerdy math friends pointed that out to me back in the day). I hear you guys on the preprogrammed cells though- I know all the kids numbers, and Charles's but beyond that, unless it's a number they had before cell phones, I really don't know numbers like I used to.
Menu:
Breakfast: Fried egg, 2 strips of bacon
Lunch: 1 chicken thigh with a tbsp of mixed veggies
Dinner: Not sure - but I do have Skyr yogurt, more chicken thighs and a protein shake so lots of options and I will be on plan.
Exercise is still on hold until at least tomorrow's exam is done.
Weight - I was down another 1.7 today!!! so 198- starting to feel a little that the 200s are permanently in my rear view mirror. Hoping anyway- I know it's lots of hard work.
Have a great day everyone!
RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
Good morning.
I am from Nova Scotia and in the 80's when I lived there we only used the last 5 digets. I am weird when it comes to phone numbers. I still remember my friends numbers, my mom's work number and other numbers from that time. But yet I can't remember what I did yesterday. Funny how the mind works. My number was 862-3285 but we only dialed 23285.
I am still on puree and this is what I will be having today.
B- Protein Shake
L-puree ham, cottage cheese and two mini melba toast
S- 1/2 protein shake
D- ricotta bake
S- 1/2 Protein shake
5 cups of water
all vits
walk 1 km
I hope everyone has a great day.

Good Morning, DAISY and our Menu Peeps! I stayed up, past "gown:thirty", last night, and I'm feeling it!
I went to our town's FABULOUS music/fireworks show, last night. It was hot/noisy/crowded...and I wouldn't dream of missing it...lol...I saw so many overweight/obese people struggling with their walking/carrying their stuff, etc - people of all ages - most WAY younger than me...broke my heart...I NEVER could have made it out there, pre op...no freakin' way!! And I know I wouldn't have even TRIED...Kudos to those folks, for making the effort

We Can Do Hard Things
Good morning. Things are progressing nicely, though a little too much veg last night. At least I stayed away from any sweets (and there was a ton of them around). Overall a nice weekend. Hope you all had a nice holiday as well. Damn, I just remembered it's not Monday but Wednesday - I need to take by B12 grrrrr.
I remember every digit of the number, even the old fashioned way of calling out numbers Briargate 4 XXXX). It was funny as my uncle has a house in Florida and he tested me because his lock code was the last 4 digits of that number (since he lived there before me - so he remembers it longer than I do). He wouldn't give me the code when I was there visiting and was shocked when I entered it and the door opened.
B 4oz Fage; 2 tbs pumpkin seeds; 1/4 protein cereal
S Eggwhites from 2 a hardboiled eggs
L Buffalo chicken burger from Mariano's - super yummy; small salad
S Syntrax protein
D Small Salad and ground taco spiced chicken
S SF popsicles

Happy Wednesday Menu Family.... This week is so messed up. I have no idea what I am doing today at work! My husband and I both have these horrible summer colds compliments of the nieces so that does not help. It is going to be a beautiful day in the 802 so I am looking forward to the sun teasing me thru the window all day at work.
Accountability: Yesterday I had no plan as husband and I were both pretty much out of commission feeling horrible. but I ate pretty much protein all day so win win.
QOTD: Yup I do remember my old childhood phone number because it is still my parents phone number! It has been their phone number since we moved into that house in 1974 and I do not see that changing until my dad can not longer leave that house. When my mom was alive she would purchase a new cordless phone every other month because the one she had just would not work. There is still have an landline phone for when the power goes out so they can call the power company and report an outage.
Food for the day:
B: hardboiled egg white and bacon
L: left over grilled chicken and lettuce
S: watermelon
D: cheeseburger no bun
S: SF popsicle
Have a good one friends....
My power company recognizes my cell phone when I call, so I'm thinking the land line isn't a requirement anymore. We are actually dumping ours when our contract renews in November. The only people still calling those numbers are cold call marketers. I told my wife that if there is a zombie apocalypse and all the cell towers go out, that being able to reach the power company on a land line will likely be the least of our issues ;)

Morning DD2!
I sure do remember our phone number. The area code changed later on, and in my early years we didn't need an area code at all. And the first 2 numbers were always substituted with a word. So the 58 at the beginning of the number was always Juniper!

Good morning! I had a nice long weekend, and now a short work week, yay! Yesterday, we took the dogs to the park in the morning but after that, my butt was pretty much on the couch for the day. I didn't do the things around the house I wanted or projects...I found myself wandering around the kitchen a lot looking for something to eat...not hungry, but wanting. That said, I need to keep myself busy!
Accountability - even though I was looking to snack all day, I didn't and stayed on plan 100%. My BBQ rib dinner gave me a horrible stomach ache w/chest pains. It must have been stuck because an hour later I had to 'get rid of it' so I could feel better.
QOTD - we moved around a lot when I was young (Marine brat) but I do remember some of our phone numbers, weird! There were 6 kids in my family so my parents eventually got a second line for us to use.
7 mo post op - 199.1 today, UGH!!

l-tuna and balsamic dressing
d-leftover chicken, steak and or ribs

Good morning DD2 and the Menu Crew. Here I am again, pushing myself to get back to posting regularly. Today is my first day back at work since plastics, and I've been here for 3 hours. So far, not much pain, and I'm only taking Tylenol. I'm sure by the end of the day I will be wiped out. Hubby is out of town tonight, so it's going to be just me and the boys. My oldest has been a huge help to me, so I expect I'll be fine. Tomorrow will be a challenge, but I'm sure that as long as I make sure to prepare everything tonight, I shouldn't have a problem getting my youngest together and to daycare in the morning on my own.
Accountability: I had a handful of potato chips yesterday. BUT considering that I have had zero appetite, and even with the chips I came in less than 900 calories, I think I won't beat myself up. I really have no appetitite and I'm forching myself to drink protein shakes and drinks along with my little bit of food that i can tolerate. I am not weighing myself right now, since I'm still EXTREMELY swollen in the legs.
DD2QOTD: I do remember my phone number as a child. 561-2562. I don't know who's number it is now, so I'm leaving off the area code so internet weirdos don't spam the poor guys. LOL
Yesterday was my 23 month surgiversary. Almost 2 years!!
B: Premier Protein clear, coffee with SF coffeemate
MSnack: Light and Fit Greek Yogurt
L: Tuna salad
ASnack: Premier Protein Vanilla Shake
D: leftover ribs my husband smoked yesterday, no BBQ sauce
Esnack: Premier Protein clear
My patches are on and I'm drinking watered crystal light all day, which really sucks here at work. Anyone ever tried to pee wearing compression garments? It's graphic, so I won't go into detail, but let me tell you, it's not pretty.

This surgery has got me back on track! I just can't wait to heal up enough to feel semi-normal again.
