What's on your menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
on 7/5/17 3:16 am - GTA, Ontario, Canada
Hello Menu Crew! Happy Wednesday! How is everyone? Sunny and warm here and just looks like a perfect summer day!
Accountability: stayed 100% on plan, in fact had a small pouch day yesterday and skipped dinner and just had yogurt & berries in the evening.
QOTD: Do you remember your childhood phone number? I only remember it started with 786. This was long before the days of needing an area code. And as a child of the 80's my sister or I were always on the wall phone in the kitchen (puke green colour thank you very much!), it was the only phone in the house. As teenagers my parents "splurged" and bought one of those 25 foot phone cords so we could go and "hide" in the dinning room and giggle and be typical teenage girls on the phone with our friends. Oh the good old days! LOL

Good morning Daisy and the menu folks! We're back from vacation, but I decided to take a few more days off from work to relax and rejuvenate. My only plans are walks and pool time, but I'm really looking forward to the extra time off.
I wasn't sure how the weight would do while I was away and eating out, but I am down 3 pounds. I did alot of walking and I ate very protein forward so I guess things worked!
Accountability: We went to a cookout last night and I knew there would be hamburgers for meat. But there were also turkey burgers so I was down on calories. I took baby carrots and watermelon and I'm so glad I did because there was pasta salad as the other side dish. I have a particular weakness for pasta salad, but I managed to eat my burger and carrots and feel satisfied. I'm very proud of myself.
QOTD: I remember my childhood number because it ended with 1983 and I always looked forward to when it would be 1983.
Breakfast: TJ's ham
Snack: Fuzzy Navel protein shake
Lunch: TJ's chicken sausage
Snack: 2 ounces turkey breast
Dinner: 3 ounces filet mignon
Exercise: long walk, swimming

Morning menu posters!
yesterday was a gong show! I had a new receptionist start, and the person who was going to train her, didn't come in, so I had to. During month end, on the first work day back after a holiday.... needless to say, my accountability was off, I only had my breakfast premiere protein, and was so wiped out after work, I just had another shake with some peanut butter. And called it a night. It went ok, but I worry I've overwhelmed the new person hahah.
Qotd: my parents still have the same number! But when I was young, we were still on a shared party line with 4! Other houses. Our ring was two short. My grandmothers was two long, the other two were one short and one long!
Menu:
B: protein shake
L: deli meat with cucumber and tomato
D: friends are in town and renting a cottage near by, and we're going for dinner. I'm sure protein forward.
have a good one gang!

Morning! I have a slow start today since I have to take the kids to the orthodontist. I'll go into work after. Yesterday's concert was a bust since my hubby didn't listen to me to bring our own chairs. The seats were clearly marked lawn- but he was convinced that seating would be provided. We got there- realized we'd have to stand for 4 hours and decided to leave. Good thing because it rained.
accountability: I did well yesterday- carbs ended the mid 60's. I did eat toast last night, but to try and deal with an unsettled stomach. I bought a new crystal light flavor and I don't think it's agreeing with me.
Qotd: childhood phone # was 516-842-2390, until they changed the area code to 631. My parents had the same # from the time they moved into that house until they retired out of it. Our kitchen phone was yellow or beige. I don't recall ever having a cordless phone in the house.
196.5 today, 26 months out
m1: egg/egg beater, 2 turkey sausage,
m2: lemon Greek yogurt and berries
m3: 2 turkey burgers with peppers and cheese
m4: whatever meat I pull from the freezer.

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!
We got "doggie downers" for Blossom and gave them to her last night since she is deathly afraid of the fireworks. She slept for a while and then got up and walked around like she was drunk! It was actually kind of funny to watch her. The fireworks weren't bothering her at all and she seemed happy because she was wagging her tail and "smiling" but she was stumbling around and running into things and when she panted her tongue lolled out the side of her mouth. But at least she wasn't cowering at the booming fireworks (and there were a LOT of them going off in our neighborhood last night).
QOTD: As soon as I read this question, my childhood phone number popped into my head! I was surprised I still remembered it, being that I'm 61 years old!
Accountability: Not so good. A little low on protein, high on carbs. Protein - 44, Calories - 1,100, Carbs - 139. Will try to do better today.
Today:
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks
L: lettuce, chicken, avocado, low cal dressing
D: Something from Panera, probably Green goddess cobb salad or soup
S: light & fit Greek yogurt
Exercise: Walking Blossom around the subdivision
Have a FANTASTIC day everyone!
~ Karen
