Morning gang!

Daisy's having a lie in today, so I will go ahead and kick us off!

the picnic on the bridge was so much fun! I'll post pics for photo Friday!

accountability: my calories were higher than I'd like usually, but all wls friendly stuff. I'm looking at you Brie!

qotd: I'm thinking of surprising my husband with a new grill for his birthday. He's been talking a lot about switching from propane to charcoal. What do you all use? Is a fancier grill a better grill? Does anyone use those green eggs?

todays a holiday, so the menu and plans for the day are pretty lazy:

B: premiere protein

L/D: whatever leftovers I find....

have a great one gang!

Good morning! I'm enjoying having today as a holiday in addition to tomorrow. It is supposed to be a beautiful day so I think going to the beach is required.

Accountability: Not so great. We went to a cookout and I had a little of everything. Not a ton, but bites of some stuff I usually wouldn't, though I did eat a fair amount of shrimp (my contribution).

QOTD: We have a gas grill connected to a gas line (so no refilling of tanks). It is the ultimate in convenience! I know that charcoal tastes better, but it was always too much work to use frequently.

B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese

L: Tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese

D: leftover grilled swordfish

S: cheese sticks, yogurt

That's my thing about charcoal too. We use our BBQ almost daily, and I don't see that being the case with charcoal.

A proper grill for a Texas family.

I want this! When we bought our house it came with this old rusted out grill attached to the gas line. My husband has a nearly new grill that we wanted to attach. But he says there is no conversion kit for our particular grill. So we are stuck with propane for a while.

Good morning :)

My plan is to do a ton of errands and house chores today and then tonight we are going to look at a van. My DH is not ready for this but we really could use a bigger vehicle. He would love to have a truck, but that's not quite as practical. We like to go to the cottage and it's going to be a squeeze with the two dogs now.

Accountability: had two slices of pastry yesterday. I also ended up having an extra snack at 11pm because we stayed up late. It sat like a lump in my stomach and I couldn't sleep.

QOTD: I am not a griller. I know we have a very nice gas BBQ, but I don't know all the details. When we had our furnace installed they also put in a line for the BBQ. It is very convenient and saves on electricity. Our stove is old and uneven, and is on the to-buy list (once we get past this roof replacement), so it's nice that we have a good grill.

Breakfast - protein shake

Snack - turkey sausage

Lunch - curry chicken

Snack - Greek yogurt

Dinner - ham and veg

Snack - protein shake

All water and vits.
