It sure is a great way to get in 20 grams of protein in right away! Our surgery center likes us to eat all our protein which is hard to do and keep calories down.

our center said most of us would be on them for the first six months to a year, but they don't seem to care that some of us still drink them at more than a year out. I found out early on that I malabsorb protein (I may have malabsorbed it even before surgery - they didn't do a baseline on that, so we'll never know), so I had to have 100+ grams a day from the get-go. Hard to do that when you're eating less than 1200 kcal or so. I still drink one almost every day even though I should have no trouble getting it all through food since I can now eat 1700 calories. But I like them - and I don't have to constantly think about protein all day if I have a shake in the morning, because you're right, it's a quick 20 grams.

Hi everyone,

Very late posting tonight because my wife and had I some friends and family over a cookout today.

Thank you!

I do put rub on my wings the night before smoking them. 1st I dry them off with paper towel then put the rub on and put them into ziploc bags overnight.

the next day brown the wings lightly over direct heat, it doesn't matter if it's a propane grill or charcoal.

Then onto the smoker or propane grill indirect heat between 300-350 degrees for 35 -40 mins until the internal temp of the meat is at least 160 degrees. I used hickory wood (chips and chunks) on the smoker. If you are using a propane grill (after browning the wings) turn off 1/2 of the burners and place the wings on the side that the burners are off. If you want to smoke the wings you can purchase a smoker box. There are a ton if different styles. You can always cook them indirect without the smoke box if you would like.

I hope this helps you.

If there is anything else I can help you with just let me know.

I think that Canadian nurses are the best trained in the world and they would bring back catsup potato chips after visiting home. I am very grateful they are not for sale in my store.

Out of sight is the easiest way for me. I love the giant bread box/garage on my counter. I've been staying out of bakeries.

I ate ham, roast beef, almond milk, yogurt, and 5 Kopika coffee candies. Those things can't live in the house anymore.
