Cornbread usually gets me too so I just make it a small piece and enjoy it.

Happy Canada Day to those of you up there. Busy day here helping at the church food stand for the 4th celebration. I'll be there all day just like I was there from 2 on til 11 yesterday. Hoping for good sales since weather is nice. Lily and I already have our 3.2 miles in and I'll do another mile later when I walk home from the park to check on her and crate her before the fireworks. QOTD no help here as all things sweet are triggers for me so I stay far away even from the sugar free ones. Stuck completely to my plan yesterday but didn't drink enough so weight is up a hair at 118.2 today. I've got to hydrate better today even though I'm busy. Here's the food plan for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 4 oz ground beef patty D 4 oz catfish nuggets S carb master yogurt 4 BBQ pork rinds. Have a great day everyone and make some smart and conscious choices that move you one step closer to your goals!

Yes, Happy Canada Day and I understand it's a big one - 150 years.... enjoy.

QOTD: My go-to low carb dessert for company is definitely cheesecake, easy to convert and there is way less sugar than you think compared to normal cake. I like to use Swerve for baking- it's a erythroil/stevia mix I think. SF cheesecake is not low calorie by any stretch... but works. Whatever The recipe, or use a combo of vanilla and lemon juice, not just vanilla. Or if I want to make it more key lime ? do lime juice with the vanilla and some lime zest. Also helps to cover any of the sugar-free aspects

I made a blog at one point that is still floating in cyberspace.... my original recipe is there... http://artsycraftyqueen.blogspot.com/2010/02/my-famous-chees ecake.html?m=1

Accountability- Son and family were going out with my ex yesterday, so it was a great day to pull back. So a few Sweet potato fries at dinner, and a few bites of corn on the cob, but otherwise carb free. So a win.

B: latte/fairlife/mct oil/miralax

L: salad with chicken salad

D: chicken curry

S: cheese crisps, Protein drink tbd

Good morning weekenders! I really wish I could sleep in on the weekends, but my cat is so used to being fed at 5 am, he won't let me. I wouldn't make until 6 am on my own anyway, I have to get up. As soon as coffee comes to mind, I'm out of bed! Today we are going out on my sister and BIL boat. Should be a gorgeous day in Morro Bay and I'm looking very forward to relaxing and having a great time.

Accountability - I switched dinner eggs for a pork chop last night but was on plan.

QOTD - I played with faux dessert for years when doing low carb. I had a almond flour muffin recipe I loved and a recipe for SF 'cookie butter' made with almond butter that was insanely good but I would eat them until I was sick. I just don't go there anymore. I would just stick to berries and whipped cream it I had to do something now.

7mo post op - 198.5 this am

B-coffee w/heavy cream and splenda - SB - not sure yet

lunch - seafood out

dinner - eggs

v/l - started

e-relaxing today!

Have a good day all!

I'm the same with not being able to sleep in! I'm so envious of my husband sometimes. On the other hand, I do appreciate a slow morning and my quiet time. Guess it's a bit of trade off.

Happy Canada Day!!

On my way out the door to buy a new lawnmower, then I'm supposed to meet a friend at the farmer's market - a little surprised I haven't heard from her yet as she wanted to go "early". I have a banquet tonight which I'm a little concerned about because my weight was above my range yesterday, but I think it's mostly sodium from all the cottage cheese I ate yesterday plus the 1.5 fish tacos I had for dinner. At least I hope that was it. I feel like a bloated mess right now!

Accountability: I had a protein bar around 4:00 pm that I hadn't planned on because I didn't want to go out to dinner while too hungry. The fish taco thing was a decent choice (grilled fish), but I had 10 tortilla chips while waiting. Bad!! Overall calories were OK.

QOTD: I rarely do desserts anymore. When I'm in the mood for something sweet at night, I'll usually eat yogurt, a SF popsicle, or a SF fudgesicle.

2 years out:

B: Greek yogurt, Kashi Crunch granola

S: coffee with half & half

L: not sure - if I'm home, maybe chili

D: banquet tonight. I know they're having chicken, some kind of potato, and fudge-bottom pie. I'm guessing a salad or some kind of vegetable and probably rolls. I'll eat the chicken and the veg/salad. I might have a couple of bites of pie. DH can have my potatoes and roll.

tomorrow - off to Chicago for a family reunion picnic!

Happy Canada Day!

I'm gonna be smoking my bacon today. Can't wait to see how it comes out!

QOTD: sorry, I have no recipes.

Accountability : I stayed on plan yesterday but I am a few pounds up on the scale today. It's probably due to me eating salty stuff yesterday. I ate tuna fish and some bacon for dinner and didn't drink as much water as usual. Being out in the high heat and humidity, that wasn't smart!

B: 2 eggs, 2 strips of bacon, slice of cheese

The rest of the day is up in the air but it all be protein.

Enjoy the rest of your day everybody!

Edited for typo.

You had me at "pig roast"

Pork is like the final frontier for me food wise. I've had some bacon as a component in a salad and deli ham of course but what I really enjoy is roast pork. I just haven't attempted it yet.
