What's on your Saturday menu RNYers?
morning!
Happy Canada Day!
I was up way too late last night, and we have a busy fun day ahead I should get moving. But I'm going to drink more coffee, and catch up on a few posts. I'm way too behind on what's people are up to!
accountability: yesterday was good, stayed on plan, dinner at friends was sausages and Cesar salad so easy peasy to stay on plan!
qotd: is a selfish one. Something I've avoided since surgery is wls versions of desserts or trigger foods etc. But tomorrow we are going on a fancy picnic, and I got all Pinterest-y and decided to try making mini low carb cheese cakes in mason jars to bring. Anyone try this and have a favourite recipe? Anyone try no-bake cheese cakes vs baked ones?
Menu:
B: coffee and premiere protein
L/D: family is hosting a pig roast, so I'm sure protein forward.
have a great Saturday everyone!

Happy Canada Day to all of you up North!
Accountability: Terrible! I was fine until we went out to dinner where DS is executive chef, but then there was a dinner roll, wine, Irish coffee and bites of DH's dessert. I don't think I went over my usual maintenance calories, but was way over on the carbs. I am doing some better planning today!
QOTD: Sorry I don't have anything. I'm afraid of cheesecake (trigger food for me).
B: eggbeaters and cottage cheese
L: tuna salad, pickles and cottage cheese
D: grilled chicken
S: cheese sticks, yogurt

Good morning menu family and Happy Canada day! Not sure what the day will bring I thought it was going to be a rainy and icky day but so far the sun is shinning so I am not sure, May do some chores around the house and tonight we are going out to dinner with my in laws.
QOTD: Wish I could help you out with a recipe... The only baking or non baking thing I am even remotely good at is worms in dirt. I used to make them for my daughters theater group for there annual haunted house fundraiser. Baking is not in my wheelhouse... Now eating that is!
Accountability: Since I had not food plans I really could not go off plan yesterday. I was planning on a little dessert at dinner last night with the family but my oldest niece Jiy-Taylor was being little pip and not eating her dinner so no dessert for her so no dessert for anyone so that worked out well for Penny! I was way under on food levels yesterday but way over on caffeine intake one to many ice teas. So I will stick to decaf for a few days...
Today's food:
B: scrambled egg white and bacon
L: left over chicken breast from dinner last night
D: going out with the in laws so I know it will be protein forward and I will be having a 1/2 of wine because going with in laws need I say more!
Enjoy Canada my friends to the north and to those of us in the states Happy Saturday!

Morning everyone! Happy Canada day to our friends to the north of us! I've been on my run and will admit I showered and hopped right back into bed :-) no plans today really. I do need to return a shirt- and I have two birthday gift cards. Other wise I'll be in a semi vegetative state today.
qotd: I don't do recipes, especially 'healthy' versions of desserts; I know me and I'd eat so much of it it'd become unhealthy fast. I just make the 'real' thing, but VERY rarely. Unless I'm specifically asked to make something, i usually buy a dessert to avoid having ingredients in my house that feel like I have to use.
198.5 today, 26 months out
Accountability: so my carb goal for the rest of the summer is 55g, yesterday I hit 81, but had a pear, 1/2 banana and panacake. I'm still on track with my fitness class every Friday, 5 down, 7 to go! I tried beef jerky for the first time and liked it!
M1: 1/2c egg beaters and 2oz ham
m2: 1oz beef jerky, 1oz cheese, 1oz turkey
m3: maybe spaghetti sauce, mozzarella & ricotta
m4: maybe fish... my arm could be twisted to get take- out.

Hi All and Happy Canada Day to my northern peeps!
I am on my way out the door for a drive up to the Hudson Valley NY area for a wedding on Sunday. I am going up with a friend and turning it into a girl's weekend away. I packed a bunch of meat sticks, protein shakes, and Cheese Whisps. I cannot get derailed and gain even an ounce before this wedding!
Accountability: All good, but I had a drink last night when Grim and I met Sparklekitty for an awesome OH meet up last night! She is absolutely awesome, btw! I did not, however, eat the corn bread and butter that they brought to the table and sat in front of me for over an hour. That felt like a win!
QOTD: Sorry, no. I never messed around with the fake versions of recipes because I know myself and I will eat way too much by bargaining with myself and pretending I can. Instead, I just taking sparing bites of the real stuff here and there. I can't say it's foolproof--sometimes I eat too much of that, too, but I seem to reign myself in better when I am not trying to trick myself into thinking something is healthier than it is.
B: Coffee with Sytrax Chocolate Protein Powder
S: Cheese Whisps
L: 2% Plain Fage Yogurt with Sytrax Mint Chocolate Cookie Protein Powder
S: Chomps Meat Stick
D: ?? going out in NYC for dinner!
I just finished my mint cookie and now you are making me miss it... :(
I hate staring down bread when you are out for dinner. Much easier with WLS peeps when you can just say no.... So absolute win!!
Have fun at the wedding and jealous dinner in NYC... so close but so far right now.
