Talk me down - One week stall?

My surgery date was June 14. I lost 10 lbs between surgery date and last Friday. I haven't lost anything since then. I've tried being reasonable and logical, but I'm becoming very annoyed that I rearranged my innards and I haven't lost anything in 6 days. I'm following all the guidelines. I'm just sad. It seems very early to stop losing/have a stall.

Don't be so hard on yourself, 10 lbs is a lot to lose in such a short time and most importantly your innards are still healing after such a major over-haul. We all stall at different times, oddly weird times, throughout our journey. I lost a bunch my first month, then every month after have at least a week, sometimes two that show a big fat 0... then it starts up again. You're doing fine... stick to your dr's plan and the scale will move again. Good luck!

Thank you! That's almost exactly what my husband said to me today, but he hasn't been through this, so I was second guessing everything. That's what I needed to hear. :)

Good! Well, we are in such a bad habit of failure that it's hard to accept that this is actually working! And it is, so embrace it (don't strangle it, he he) and stick to your plan. Try getting on the scales on a Friday of every week rather than every day. That will help too. Let us know how you're doing!

stop weighing yourself. Follow the program and get back on the scale at your 1 month anniversary.

I dropped 15 pounds the first week then stalled for 3 weeks, then lost another 10 in a matter of days!! Everyone is different but don't worry. Just do what you are supposed to, your body is adjusting!

Search "3 week stall" at the top of this forum. Maybe happening to you a few days early. Lots of good discussion.

Yeah, I've read about the 3 week stall. This was the second week, so it caught me off guard!

IMO a stall is 3 weeks or more without weight loss. The term stall is thrown around way too much. Right now it's just your body adjusting to everything that's been done to it. Keep doing what you're supposed to.

It is hard after surgery to be logical at times. At least it was for me. One thing that is very important is to make sure you are measuring and stay hydrated.

You had major surgery. The weight will come off. I know we wi**** would happen overnight but it doesn't. It does happen fast.
