I've tried many different turkey dishes - sausages, meatloaf, burgers, and nope I just can't even grow to like it. And turkey bacon??? What is that all about.

I know its "better" for you then red meat but I just can't do it.

I agree with you on the turkey bacon.....nothing even comes close to the real thing!

Grilled fish with veggies has been my favorite but the fish has to be super fresh.

Many are are turned off by seafood but I really think that's because they haven't had the chance to try fresh product.

Everything DCgirl said was right on! I try to "doll" things up with different spicing too. I make spaghetti every other week. Hubby gets noodles with his, I eat the meat and sauce. I have also had fun with spicing up either pinto, black or great northern beans. I eat a bowl on their own or put some ground beef or turkey in it to get in extra protein. I have also gone to worldaccordingtoeggface, she's awesome! Sometimes searching out Pinterest for high protein meals, just be sure to adjust the recipe to fit our needs. You'd be surprised how many ideas you can get from anywhere if you like tweeking them. I found I love cooking more now, I can't have much food, but I enjoy preparing it!

I love to eat my sauce with zucchini zoodle, though I am fussy with my zoodles, have to be sauteed in garlic and most of the moisture cooked from them.

Well that sounds awesome! I've heard of zoodles, just haven't tried them, but sauteed in garlic... YuM!

I use a salad spinner to get rid of most of the moisture even before sautéing them. It works amazingly well!

I'm getting sick of steak too, but it didn't stop me from turning it into beef jerky, which i love, lol.

I get bored if I fall into a routine of eating the same things too often, and my tastes weirdly change drastically month to month (love yogurt...hate yogurt...love it again; weird!).

I love shrimp on skewers on the BBQ or sauteed in a bit of becel or butter, with some garlic.

I like turning zucchini into spaghetti with my spiralizer, or, as of today, lol, drying it in my dehydrator into chips, then used as a base for tuna salad.

I like fake hot chicken wings, using just chicken breast or thigh meat, no skin, hot sauce, and a bit of low cal ranch dressing.

I LOVE fresh Pickerel fish, but my parents only caught one last time they went out. Sigh.

There are loads of bariatric friendly recipes online that I want to try but haven't yet. They include: General Tso's skinny chicken, eggroll in a bowl, cauliflower "fried rice" (it's not rice, it's cauliflower), and various pizza recipes that substitute the pizza crust with low carb options like cheese/cauliflower, chicken, etc.

There are lots of people in the weight loss community who make Youtube videos showing how they make bariatric friendly recipes.
