Good morning. Found a screw in my brand new tire this morning. This of course totally freaked me out at 6 am especially since I have a 45-60 min commute to work.... I had my tire pressure display on the whole way and traveled in the slow lane (I have a lead foot, so this was painful). I have a meeting this morning that I have to attend, so waiting to get it fixed where I live wasn't an option. I have an appointment to take care of it after my meeting. If it isn't one thing...

Accountability - Stayed on plan yesterday, with the addition of 2 SF popsicles last night.

QOTD -I have my own office so I can easily remove myself from anything annoying. My annoying person left about a year ago. She was the epitome of lazy and entitled. I cannot tolerate lazy people who don't pull their weight, set a bad example, don't do things the right way then lie about it and still think they are model employee. Oh hell no!

7mo post op - 198 yay!

b-coffee w/heavy cream and splenda salami

l-tuna w/homemade balsamic dressing

d-pork chop

v/l on track

e-walk the pups around the hood

Have a great day all!!

Rushing this morning before a meeting and post follow up appointment for my foot. This morning the surgeon unwrapped, washed, and re-wrapped my foot. That was it. 2 hour drive round trip for that?!? Uhg. But....ooohhhh myyyy did it feel GOOD to have it unwrapped and washed! It is healing well and everything is tracking. No infections or anything so that is good. Now to the meetings...

QOTD: Speaking of which...meetings. I hate meetings. It is no one person that causes them or makes them especially terrible it is just that they are so boring and such a time sink. I love my co-workers...hate meetings.

Menu: I second the boring menu alert. Greek yogurt, frozen treat (not sure what is in there), and dinner will be some sort of left overs. We are broke joke so really digging into the bottom of the freezer these days. Pay day is Saturday so hoping groceries will be happening before Monday.

Accountability: One good thing about my foot...I can't easily get out of bed after I lay down and take my boot off so no up in the middle of the night snacking! Win. LOL Nothing exciting happened food wise except I had a cup or so of watermelon in the evening I hadn't planned on. Weight is still good at 125 and all is well.

Happy day everyone!

Good morning Daisy and menu friends!

Accountability: Last night I had an after-work event at a brewery. I nibbled at a cheese plate and worst of all, drank a glass of white wine. I drank it over a two hour period and never felt any impact from the alcohol but still total waste of calories!!! I skipped my planned dinner and went for my 2 mile "run" as dictated by my 5K training program. When I got home I ate about six ounces of shrimp with a tsp of ****tail sauce. Total calories were 731, protein 110.

QOTD: I'm at a new job and I've only been here for about two months so thankfully I'm free of irritating co-workers! At my last job I had a super kind co-worker who was a ball of anxiety and had zero boundaries. She would NEED to come and kinda defrag in my office. She couldn't stay out of her kids lives (teenagers) coworkers lives, people on TV... If there was a problem she thought that she HAD TO FIX IT. She was insanely stressed about my RNY surgery and kept bringing me articles from fringe media about the dangers of modern medicine etc (remember, we WORKED IN HEALTHCARE). I would say "Suzette. Did you get your flu shot this year? Because THIRTY THOUSAND PEOPLE WILL DIE FROM THE FLU THIS YEAR. If you don't get your flu shot because the vaccination is scary to you, I can't really take your medical advice seriously." Harsh but OMG!!!!!! She is the nicest irritating person I've every known!

3 mo post RNY/171 lbs/ Weightloss Stage

B- half a protein brownie I found in my glove box (woke up late)

MS- 2% cottage cheese with half a scoop lemonade protein powder

L- tuna packet

AS- 3 oz shrimp when I get home from work

D- Pan roasted salmon and sauteed bok choy

ES- 3 oz shrimp plus 1 tsp ****tail sauce when I get back from my evening walk

Total Calories: 644, Protein: 122, Carbs: 14, Sugar: 4, Fat: 17

Exercise: Easy evening walk of about two miles while I recover from this funky jello leg issue!

Last night I went for my 2 mile "run" at an average pace of 17 minute miles YIKES that's slow!!!. I then walked back to the house so I got a total of four miles in. I was soooo freaking tired. It's not the first time I've run two slow miles but it felt like I ran much faster than I did, and my legs were jello. When I got home I ate 6 oz of shrimp with a tsp of ****tail sauce, then waited 30 minutes and drink a pint of water. I hurt so badly last night I couldn't sleep (oh how I miss NSAIDs). This morning my legs were still like jello, I was really shaky getting down the steps, so I decided to drive to work rather than make my second bike commute. A co-worker said I'm pushing myself too fast with the running but I am following one of the 5K training programs to the T. I also have been just walking on the "rest days" of the running program. I want to bike to work on my non-running days but like I said, this morning it was NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Tomorrow I'll ride my bike to work but if I'm feeling weak after the ride in, I'll take the bus home (all the City buses have bike racks!).

JB your kittens are BEAUTIFUL!!! I put a deposit on a puppy that's due in August (so take home date is probably October). He (or she) is a French Brittany, they're supposed to be great city dogs that will love weekends at the farm and also be happy to go for runs and bike rides. Here's a picture of a previous pup from the same breeding. They are really varied in colors but I love this one!

Here's another pup at a year old with lots of white:

Gorgeous dog! I really want a King Charles Spaniel, or a Bichon Frise, or a Maltese Shih Tzu cross. lol - I'm working on my hubby - it may take a while.

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.

I was planning on getting a King Charles Spaniel!!!

I wanted one so badly I researched breeders and hunted for the perfect puppy before I convinced myself to look for a larger breed. I wanted a full sized dog that would be chill like a King Charles, but also ready to keep me active and go for walks/runs. This breed has the chill factor and does well in city/apt living, yet will happily go for a walk, bike ride, or hike! I also am not going to lie- the full size dog bladder is a big deal to me!!! I will arrange for a walker during the work day, but it is nice to know that as an adult it can go 8 hours without a pee break!

Look at this pic of a five week old French Brittany - doesn't it look like a KCS?

Those dogs are adorable!! They kind of look like my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel:

We have two CKCSs - a female ruby and a male tricolour. They are the sweetest puppies :)

I had a deposit on a KCS this spring, but my doggy day-care fell through at the last minute. I decided to go with this French Brittany breed because I'm hoping the larger dog (larger bladder) will work better with my day time job, and also hold up better with my walks/jogs as I try to maintain this new lifestyle change!

OMG your boy is BEAUTIFUL!!!! So beautiful! LOVE the look!
