Not feeling full?

I definitely do believe you! I was instructed to chew every small bite 25 times, which I do, but which seems a bit overkill with cottage cheese and hummus - by the time I'm done chewing there's nothing left! Still, I do it, figuring it's an important habit to adopt!f

Good for you! When I see something that looks good I get some sort of brain blockage where I totally forget about the bypass! Evidence that the fat girl demon in still alive!

Oh, I hear you! I am under no illusion (at this moment, anyway - my inner fat girl is sneaky, manipulative, and always on the lookout for ways to scam calories) that I have conquered my IFG. (Of course, I am still an outer FG as well, but that, thank goodness, is changing!).

I'm looking for a therapist with IFG-wrangling experience to help me conquer and defang her, not just achieve temporary detente!

Asking questions is a good thing. I know there is a search engine. But it is nice to hear advise.

Your nerves have been cut. So measure everything. I understand why you get worried. I always wondered in the beginning if my surgeon did anything in there. Trust me the feeling comes back.

I feel restriction still. Thank goodness. I know I have to stay low carb and protein forward.

Oh of course! My nerves have been cut! I honestly didn't think of that. Makes sense. Thank you!

I get a weird sensation that it's time to stop eating.

Revision on 05/23/17

I am 6 weeks out from my revision. I originally had the sleeve done and developed horrible gerd so I had the Rny done. It's strange to me still! With my sleeve even after 5 years out I still kept my portions small and knew when to stop eating. During the liquid and soft food stages after the rny I never felt full. Not that I was hungry either but I was measuring my cottage cheese etc and never had that full feeling. I am finally starting to feel the full sensation again in the past few days. Last night I boiled some chicken and shredded it. I ate almost 3oz and finally felt full. Not the oh I ate too much my stomach hurts full just the nice I had a good meal full! So as the nerves heal you'll slowly regain that feeling of restriction or fullness. It was so strange in the beginning to eat my little portion of soup and not feel it though.

Here is something perfectly bizarre: I wrote the original post in this thread about not feeling any sense of restriction. I had breakfast, then later some protein drink and of course water. Felt super tired, so I pay down for a nap. When I woke up, I felt absolutely stuffed to the gills! As if I'd eaten all I possibly could and couldn't have another bite! This was hours after I'd last eaten. So so odd! It was as if my new little pouch had overheard me complaining, and now said "Okay, wiseguy, can you feel me NOW?" it's just strange that I am (still! All these hours later, even after just having water!) feeling this sensation just after posting that I didn't feel anything. Just such odd timing! But I am grateful for it!

Just one word of caution....Ok, maybe a few words. Be very careful of the full feeling. It can come on suddenly and already be too late. One time (only one time LOL) at a restaurant where I didn't measure, I had to leave the table and go to the bathroom to spit out the food in my mouth. I suddenly knew that there was no way that I could swallow any more food. Luckily I was fine after I did that, but it causes quite a panicky feeling.
