Not feeling full?

I'm on the pureed phase, and have been having low-fat cottage cheese with a little plain hummus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. All meals are 1 oz., chewed to virtual non-existence. I have yet to feel any sense of fullness or restriction. I'm not hungry at all, which i am grateful for, but I am a little concerned that I haven't felt that "not a bite more!" sensation. Not do I feel it when sipping or having a SF popsicle. Is this something which I will feel more when I graduate to denser food? I'm a little worried that maybe all that sipping expanded my new pouch.

Your pouch won't expand. That is a myth. Over time as you heal you will likely have more feeling. The biggest challenge is to learn to eat ONLY what you plan for, what you know your body needs, protein and fluids, and NOT worry or think about 'feeling' related to food. Start thinking of food as fuel not an emotional state. It is easier to say than do. Learning to fuel my body not 'feed' it has been the hardest part of all of this. The struggle is real but you can do it!

I still feel restriction with dense protein, but not every time. I have never felt it with soups, liquids or purees.

Thank you, I appreciate knowing that! I suspect that I will most likely feel restriction with dense protein. It's interesting that there are such a variety of responses re: restriction from person to person!

Give it time. You'll be familiar with the foamies soon enough.

Now that you put it that way, I'm not sure I want to!

Let me tell you as soon as you think you can safely eat something safely....that's when you're doomed.

I cant deal with that feeling at all and I will make myself throw up. In my opinion it just takes 1 bad bite.

When you get in the solid food stage it will get better. Just remember to eat small bites and chew and chew (I am speaking from experience!). After not having "real" food for so long I just want to gulp it down and this is not a good thing believe me!
