Bummed out
I feel your pain. I weighed 13 more pounds 2 days after surgery than the day I went in. Doc said it was water weight from the surgery and they had taken me off the diuretic. He put me back on the diuretic and the water weight was gone in a week. I was elated! Only to have my primary doc take me off the diuretic again because my blood pressure was normal! I begged her not to take me off but she said she did not want my blood pressure to get too low (really??? me??). Sure as heck a week later I was up 10 lbs. So I went back to her and begged some more showed her the swelling in my feet and hands and she reluctantly prescribed 1/2 dose and once again a week later I am back down to the weight I was before she took me off it last time (and my blookd pressure is still normal!). I was actually crying in her office so I know how you feel. You are working sooo hard to get this right and seeing everybody else lose weight and you are doing everything you are supposed to and you are gaining! Be patient and hang in there - it will start coming off!
