What's on your Menu today (Wednesday) RNYers?
Your moving NSV totally reminded me about when we moved into our house. We moved in a few months before I had surgery. We were moving out of my grandparent's house (basement apartment) which was partially furnished. The first day I went in and cleaned and then we moved everything the next day. But... We didn't have a couch or chairs or anything yet. So I ended up laying on the living room floor with my legs up on a box because I was in so much pain from all the moving and going up and down stairs. Now I would have no problem -- we've been moving stuff at my grandparent's house for weeks now, and other than a couple bruises I haven't had any pain. I don't really get tired either. What a change and how quickly I forget!! :)
Congrats on the move and your NSVs!

Also Daisy- forgot to say I'm glad that you and Amy are both feeling better!
And the QOTD- I don't really have a favourite. I do like to buy nice towels when we get them but we are due for some new ones. We have a running joke- last year when we stayed at the cabin in PA, we brought our bedding as required but forgot towels so I went and bought new towels at Walmart. And then when we came home, I kept them downstairs with our camping stuff. When we were packing, Chelsie was asking why the towels were there- I said "That's our camping towels". So we have a joke that we like to keep our camping towels nice. But since they are brand new, they've now made it in to the regular rotation at the new house lol.

RNY Jan 12, 2017 Lost 137 lbs but regained 60.
77 lbs lost and counting!
Losing the regain! I got this!
Also for Canada Day, some friends from church are having a big get together for all the kids that are graduating this year. For some reason, my son's high school doesn't have the graduation ceremony until November but he finished his last exam yesterday, and he's a graduate! So we are going to that on Saturday. It's a full day event and looks like lots of fun.

Darn, got my post all finished and lost it! Starting over....
Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!
Daisy I'm so glad you are feeling better and I'm happy Amy is better, too!
Happy Canada Day to our Canadian friends and Happy Independence Day to our USA friends!
Being "retired" I always have every day off and my daughter has the 4th off this year. No plans yet, but I'm sure someone in our large family will have fireworks and food.
QOTD: No particular favorite towel. My friend bought me some really soft, luxurious towels for my birthday last year, but I actually prefer to dry off with the older, "rougher" towels we have because the soft ones are almost TOO soft.
Accountability. Yesterday: Protein - 70 Calories - 910 Carbs - 57.
Today:
B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks
L: balsamic chicken
D: hamburger patty with melted cheese
S: light & fit Greek yogurt
S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks
Exercise: Walking Blossom around the subdivision
Have a FANTASTIC day everyone!

Morning pouch pals! Tuesday is the 4th and i'm off, I'm trying to finagle off for the 5th too- kids have an Ortho appt, so I may schedule an appt for me. No plans, we'll likely grill, but it'll be just the 4 of us.
Accountability- Yesterday was totally horrible, but that's OK- because it was my B-day and I knew I was going to let loose for the day. Not even sure what my stats were- hubby took me out to dinner and I can't find anything in my fitness pal for the restaurant/meal. My dinner was Eggplant Parmesan, no pasta, and I had candy, and chips and a cupcake size b-day cake. I wasn't feeling great after the cake, I think it was the culmination of all the crap hitting me at once. Yesterday is done and on to a new focus till Labor day! Max 55g carbs/day.
QOTD: I have preferred wash cloths I use-- I love bright vibrant colors, so I always stash those to the bottom of the pile cause the rest of the family just grabs one from the top. I have certain towels I won't use, mostly because they aren't as thick and fluffy as my preferred one. Some I did use because they wouldn't fit around me when I was SMO-- not a problem anymore!

Mornin' All!
back home again after a really busy few days, but this week and weekend will continue to be semi-busy. Lots to do at work, a reunion of student employees (some going back 30 years!) this weekend with a couple of big events Friday and Saturday nights, a family reunion in the Chicago suburbs on Sunday. There are also some Japanese women in town until Monday - two of which have stayed at my house in the past - that I need to try to find time to see. Plus my friend from Turkey is here (although she'll be here all summer - but she wants to go out tonight), and another friend who now lives in Salt Lake City is in town this week and wants to get together tomorrow night. So that looks like....every night through Sunday, booked. Monday and Tuesday I'm off, and things should be quieter around here. I hope. Although at least all of this is fun stuff..
QOTD: I use the same bath towel pretty much all the time, but I don't have any special attachment to it. It's just...there. I like the beach towels I use when I go to the pool, though. They don't absorb as well as I'd like, but they're big and colorful.
Accountability - down two pounds since I left for Chicago last week. YAY! I attribute that to high protein, (moderately) low carb, staying under 1700 kcal, and walking a lot (no problem at all getting in over 10K steps every day I was there. I didn't do any exercise other than that, though....but all that walking counts!). Yesterday I was running really low on money, so I bought all my food for the day - using a credit card - at the conference center in the morning before I left. I got two things of Greek yogurt and a "protein pack", which consisted of a hard-boiled egg, about 3 oz of almonds, 20 grapes, and about 3 oz of cheese cubes. It met all of my requirements (high protein, moderately low carb, under 1700 kcal), and I was satisfied all day long to boot! Brilliant!
2 years out (maintenance):
B: homemade Greek yogurt, strawberries
S: coffee with half & half, protein shake
L: cottage cheese
D: not sure (going out) - something safe, though....
probably another Greek yogurt later as long as I don't go over my calorie budget
