Morning everyone!! Today is starting off more gloomy than I'd preferred. Sorry you're not feeling well Daisy.

Accountability- Yesterday sucked, I went to Wegman's and and bought three of my favorite shortbread cookies they sell, I ate two yesterday and the other this AM. Also bought baked oatmeal, which in and of itself is not the worst choice- but that and the cookie already caused me to already blow my carbs for the day.

So today marks the official end to 'no candy till my birthday' (started @ Easter). I did it with 98% success, the 2% error margin being Sunday and yesterday. I'll keep it going, but my focus from now to Labor day will be to stay under 55g of carbs/day & continue one fitness class every Friday of the summer. I like having a focus that switches up every so often to keep me on my toes. I already know what my post labor day to Thanksgiving focus will be too!

QOTD: I think I most looked forward to hanging out with the neighborhood kids. Kickball in the street, or just going for a walk, chatting in the backyard. We had a pool too, but my Mom would never let the neighborhood kids go in in fear of something happening.

197 today, 25 month out

M1: baked oatmeal, Greek yogurt & berries

M2: 3.5 oz ham/turkey/cheese deli roll w/ tomato

M3: 3.5 oz bourbon chicken chuck

M4: Taco salad, w/o tortillas

Good morning, Menu Peeps! Daisy--sending you gentle (((HUGS)))

Dang!!! All you rich, cool kids, with your pools and camps :) We had a cut off water hose and a mud pit...BUT...it was at my Granny's house, and as the 2 oldest, of 6 kids, my brother and I got to ESCAPE, each summer, and go to Granny's!!! Granny was "my person"...Miss her every day

Only have 3 Short Peeps, in the house, today...almost like a Vacation day! Did surprisingly well, with the 6 yesterday, even though I didn't gulp lunch until 4:30pm!! Had son's birthday party (he's 28, but, hey. he's still my kid!), with spaghetti, etc, but I was too tired to care!! I had a protein shake! The leftover cake is sitting right here, beside me. Do. Not. Care. If it was pizza, I would probably care...

B: Coffee/Protein shake

S: Beef Stick

L: Beef sausage/Spinach

S: Apple slices/PB

D: Baked Chicken/Broccoli

S: Greek Yogurt

W: Gallon

E: 3 mile power walk, after the sun sets

Good Morning Daisy and Menu Family!

Daisy, I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well. I sure hope you are better really soon!

QOTD: Every summer we would go out to our family cabin in the Colorado mountains for a week or two and I loved that! The rest of the summer I would play with the neighborhood kids - kick the can, homemade carnivals, pet shows, parades, lemonade stands, riding bikes, going to the park, anything we could dream up to do. And of course swimming at the city pool. Oh, to be a kid again!

Accountability: Yesterday's stats: Protein - 70. Calories - 880. Carbs - 72.

Today:

B: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks

L: hamburger patty with melted cheese

D: Bird's Eye Voila Creamy chicken noodle

S: Light & Fit Greek yogurt

S: prosciutto & mozzarella sticks

Exercise: Walking Blossom around the subdivision

Have a FANTASTIC day everyone!

Good Morning! I hope you feel better. I had one day last week that I went home (I rarely use sick time) because of a nasty headache and was very pale. I went home and slept most of the day and still was able to go to bed at my regular time so don't know if I was fighting something or what.

QOTD: I always looked forward to camping. We would spend from 1-2 weeks a few times each summer. We were often with my aunt, uncle and cousins and we had lots of good times.

Accountability: Last night was not pretty with items not planned (protein bar, yogurt w/banana). Today will be better.

Time since surgery: 2 years, 10 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters with roasted red pepper, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore tuna lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: SF latte, homemade Greek yogurt with strawberries and ¼ cup bran cereal, 2 Brazil nuts and Buddig ham pack

D: Scrambled egg, sausage turkey links, Mikey's cinnamon raisin muffin and SF chocolate pudding made with Fairlife

E: 6 miles on the treadmill this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1200 Protein:125 Carbs:89 Fat:41

Have a great one!

Good morning friends! This recovery thing is making me bats. I hate that I can't take a regular shower. Surgeon was very specific...no standing in the shower yet. So, I am screwing around with a half bath/half sponge craziness with my surgery foot stuck out of the side of the damn tub and grinding my butt bones on the basin at frickin' 7am. Big ole cup of nope! But...as I cursed the whole damn thing this morning it occurred to me that I was fitting into the tub with tons of room left around me, I physically could keep one foot up over the edge and still have the ab strength to balance myself up on my boney butt, and reach to the spout and soap and all the stuff. I levered myself in and lowered my body down and then reversed to lever myself back out lifting my weight easily. None of that nonsense would have been possible before WLS. I would never have been able to do any of that.

Then it occurred to me that I had never even been in my bathtub before this week. Never once had I taken a bath in this house which we have owned for almost 2 years. In fact, I thought about it more and it had been almost 8 years since I had taken a bath at all. NSV indeed. Once I am healed up and can actually take baths without the one foot out thing I think I might even enjoy baths.

Accountability: I was wrecked from going back to work too soon. I went home and took a pain pill and throughout the evening I ate a left over taco, a yogurt, a banana, some more taco meat with cheese, a peach, and several handfuls of pretzels. I have no idea what my totals were. I did not even hobble over to the scale this morning...just no, not today Satan.

Menu: Greek yogurt and granola for breakfast, lunch is a frozen mystery, and dinner will be the chili we didn't make last night. I'm hoping the pretzels are gone...wish me luck.

QOTD: Summer when I was little was not a fun time. My mother was an alcoholic and so summer break from school meant more insanity time with mom. School was my favorite place to be. I counted the days till I could get back to those halls of order and schedules.

Have a good day everyone.
