Gallbladder and Constipation
Fiber xan keep things moving if the path is already clear. But if you are stopped up, fiber will get things moving higher up, but not at the lower end. That can lead to lots of rumbling and discomfort.
Use laxatives or similar to get flushed out first.

I've had constipation since my RNY (I had IBS-D (diarrhea) for 20 years before my RNY. I tried so many things and my bariatric surgeon sent me to a specialist at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN. I had tests called anorectal manometry and defacography. Both were unpleasant.
I take a generous capfull of Miralax daily (Mirilax doesn't work instantly - the specialist says takes about 3 days to work with a normal dose). I never miss a day and if I feel the need I take an extra capfull of Mirilax later in the day. I also take stool softeners twice a day - you can buy those over the counter. It keeps your BM from being so hard and difficult to pass. Pushing so hard causes hemorrhoids. I drink about 120 ounces of fluid every day and eat at least one meal with fresh veggie or fruit (berries) for natural fiber.
I often have a lot of pain before a bowel movement. It feels like my bowel is twisting or being stabbed with a sharp knife. I have had 2 bowel obstructions. One required surgery and the other one I was hospitalized and treated but avoided surgery.
I find hot liquids in the morning can help start peristalsis (the rhythmic movements of the intestines). I drink a hot protein drink for breakfast and one or two cups of hot tea before noon.
I hope you will get things straighted out and wish you the best. I'm 9+ years since RNY and I feel better, am healthier and more energetic since my bariatric surgery.
