Yes, that's my daughter Madeline. She is my biggest supporter and best friend. She is in nursing school. She stayed with me in the hospital after my surgery and took care of me. She is the best!

Good Morning, Menu Peeps! I took an internet break, this weekend. Sometimes you just have to that...or at least I do! So I binge watched some Netflix, instead..lol. I watched "Strange Things", because I like Matthew Modine. It reminded me of something Stephen King would have written, in his early days...Then went out of town, just an hour away, to a family reunion, yesterday...Talk about FOOD NIRVANA...There were probably 100 people there...and enough food for 1500!! I ate more than I should have---or at least RICHER food, than my body is uded to having, and felt like crap, for several hours...Never again...until next June :)

QOTD: The Texas State Fair is known for all its WEIRD, fried stuff. They have contests, for who can come up with the weirdest stuff...fried twinkies, fried gator, fried BUTTER....seriously...So, I always liked to try "The next new thing"

I will have 6 short peeps, today, but 2 will only be here for about 6 hours, but they are new today, so it may seem lots longer! I'll be upping my protein, today, to try to keep up

B: Coffee/protein shake

S: Deviled eggs

L: Tuna/Apple/Spinach

S: Turkey Jerky

D: Steak/Broccoli

S: Greek Yogurt

W: Gallon

E: NO "structured" exercise today. Having oldest son's birthday, here..but plan to MOVE plenty

Fried butter was my son's choice the last two years. He says biting into that cold butter with fried dough around it is heaven. He's my boy!

We have fair scones here. In Oklahoma we called them biscuits. They are very good. I think it's blackberry jam or some sort of hearty fruit jam and butter on top.

Had a pretty good weekend food-wise. Ate exactly 56 grams of high protein elbow macaroni by Barilla (10g) with my spicy sausage bolognese and I think I may put that in my repertoire.

I don't think I've ever ate just 2oz of pasta before. I've tried pasta/noodles a few times and noticed I usually have trouble with spaghetti types because I tend not to chew it enough.

QOTD: I used to eat those mozzerepas but stopped a long time ago. Sausage sandwich is a favorite but honestly everything is really overpriced so I usually just pass on the food.

Morning folks! I'm coming off of my high of a fantastic weekend! My sisters are awesome! I posted pics of the tattoo we got on the Sunday menu thread if anyone wants to see.

Accountability: Well yesterday eating & hydration were a challenge since we were on the go so much. At the show, I did buy a bag of M&M's & a small can of pringles. And I had a cupcake on the way home (wanted 2, but stuck to buying one). But that was all I ate yesterday after breakfast (which was all protein). I'm down 1.5 # so didn't do any damage.

QOTD: Amusement/Park/carnival food never was a lure for me. the outrageous prices always kept me from branching out and trying things. Didn't try funnel cake until I had kids. I can easily pass on it, especially now since fried foods don't sit well post surgery. I'm definitely of 'let's pack a lunch and walk to the car and eat it there' type when it comes to amusement parks.

194.5 today, 25 months out

M1: 1/2c egg beaters, 2oz Virginia ham

M2: Protein bar

M3: bunless burger from a place near work

M4: 4 BBQ chicken wings (if I get home to them first)

I need to go food shopping today- being away the weekend I never got a chance to.

Good morning. So thankful this weekend is over, it was the toughest of all. We cleared and closed up my mom and dad's house. It went very smoothly, everyone behaved, was kind and generous about everything. Then, yesterday when picking up the last few things at their house, I totally broke down. It hit me really hard that my parents no longer have a home where we can all go and see them. I don't think my moms death hit me as hard because all of her things were still there and my dad needed all of our attention. I now have many of my parents things in my house and that brings me so much joy, though through tears still at this point. Yesterday was supposed to be full of plans, but all that happened was a trip to the beach in the morning and the final stop at my parents house. The rest of the day I was an emotional couch potato between naps.

Accountability - stayed 100% on plan yesterday

QOTD - Always something fried, usually the newest, latest craze. I haven't been in a coons age but I think the last thing I had was a huge eggroll on a stick, delicious!

7 mo post op - 200.4 this am(up from 200.1 yesterday, probably due to salty foods yesterday) so close to onederland!!!

b- coffee w/heavy cream and splenda, turkey

l-corned beef and a little cabbage

d-scrambled eggs

v/l - on track

e- 60 min lap swim

Have a good day everyone!
