What's on your menu today (Monday) RNYers?
Good morning Menu Family... Awe Monday you mean mean thing.... But I only have a four day week and then five glorious days off! Weekend was busy on Saturday with a graduation party and errands and Sunday was a little low key I attempted to make home made parmesan and peperoni chips. Parmesan ones came out great but peperoni were an epic fail! I need some suggestions on those...
QOTD: Awe fair foods! Cotton candy all the way and I also used to love the candy part of a candy apple. Our local fair also has this French fry place that is great and we would wait all year with anticipation to go there just could not wait then they had to go and ruin it and open a snack bar about 3 miles from my house my husband says it is not the same when the oil has not been sitting around for year. Another favorite thing for me at our local fair was the maple barn nothing like some good ole maple ice cream with maple syrup on it, but not any more do not think I would dare try any of that!
Accountability yesterday I felt like eating was my job... I must had three of the parmesan chips I made, three handfuls of granola that my daughter brought me back from DC and four SF popsicles and that does not count all the peperoni I tried... UGH so far today just the thought of food make me go OMG...
My food plan for the day is:
B: 3 slices of bacon, watermelon, and decaf decaf decaf,
L: Low Sodium deli ham and Muuna cottage cheese
S: Today is my birthday celebration at work so I am having a Light and Fit Greek Zero yogurt
D: cube steak
Have a great one friends

Mornin' All!
Day 4 at the conference. I'm actually starting to feel a little conferenced out, but it ends tomorrow morning with Hillary Clinton's closing session. Can't wait for that!! Then it's out to the airport to meet my friend from Turkey - then the two of us head back to Wisconsin together on the bus.
QOTD: Fair food has never been my thing. I remember going to our county fair three or so years ago (pre-surgery) and not finding anything that looked appealing. Even when I was SMO, I ate mostly healthy food (although WAY too much of it), so stuff at fairs never had much appeal for me.
2 years out:
B: Greek yogurt, 1/2 C mixed fresh fruit
S: coffee with half & half, protein shake
L: meeting a friend from Washington state for lunch (she's here at the conference, too), so not sure. Something safe.
AS: probably some nuts or a protein bar
D: Greek yogurt, ??
Good morning menu Friends. Got some stuff done around the house and worked cleaning junk off the back porch this weekend. It was busy. Lily and I have our 3.2 miles in already and will do another mile after supper. QOTD My favorite was elephant ears and caramel apples. I've never met a fried anything I didn't like Though! Post op 4 years 10 months and weight at 118 today. Here's the food plan for maintenance today B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz smoked sausage 1/2 c peas D 31/2 oz meatballs with pasta sauce 1/2 c green beans S sm apple with 1 T peanut butter. Have a great day everyone and make some smart and conscious choices that move you one step closer to your goals!
Happy Monday buddies! I had a good weekend of recovering. Friends came out and visited and that was nice. I stopped needing pain meds after Sat evening and am in pain but really just an ache. Nothing too bad. I guess compared to the skin surgery this little foot surgery thing is nothing. LOL Healing seems to be going well. It is a pain in the butt that my Guy has to drive me to work all week since I am not allowed to drive yet but otherwise I feel pretty good.
Was weird weight weekend. The pain meds constipated me, as they always do, so I didn't poo until Sunday. Sunday morning I woke up, weighed 129, pooed several times throughout the day and by bed time I weighed 125. THAT is a lot o' poo! LOL
Menu: The usual Greek yogurt for breakfast with granola, L: Frozen treat (not sure which one the Guy grabbed); D: Chili without beans; S: Chobani Simply 100; ES: Banana
Have a wonderful day!

I had a wonderful weekend! The weather has been hot here, like 100 yesterday. It is amazing how easier it is to tolerate the heat after losing weight.
My uncle had a 60th birthday party and I was nervous about going.I almost cancelled. A lot of family hasn't seen me since I have lost weight. My daughter told me to go and rock it!! That I don't owe anyone and explanation. People just said that I looked good and I said thank you. My uncles wife, who is a very negative toxic person asked me what I have been doing, I just said portion control and focusing on protein and vegetables. It was so nice to not have to stress about being able to get out of the lawn chair or it breaking. Last August I was there for a family reunion and the chair cracked when I was sitting in it.
QOTD- I love a elephant ear with maple icing or huckelberry cream cheese. A family at our local fair makes them every year.
Yesterday was a good food day.
B- 3 chicken sausage, 1 egg
L- trader joes chili lime burger, 1 oz light shredded motzarella cheese and 1 slice yellow onion
D- 4 oz grilled Ny strip steak with 1 oz blue cheese ( so delicious and satisying)
lots of water and vitamins
Calories 716, Carbs 5, Protein 82
I will probably have the same today. I really enjoyed yesterdays menu. It kept me full and satisfied.
The top photo was from yesterday. The bottom photo was from last year from the dreaded family reunion. Have a great day everyone. Success is the best motivation!!
Congratulations! You look amazing. Is that you daughter with you? She's beautiful like you.
