Hello Menu Family... It seems like it has been forever since I posted because it has been. My daughter was home last week for a few of days and it was a whirlwind of doctors appointments, hair appointments, friends coming over and spending time with family. On Friday she checked into a local camp she is going to be a counselor at and she is so excited she has been waiting for 7 years to be old enough to work at this camp and was honored when they called her this spring and offered her the job. She is living on the local college campus three miles down the road. The best part is she gets Friday morning off which is my birthday! I have not seen her on my birthday in about 10 years she has always been away at camp or traveling somewhere so spending even 5 minutes with her in person is the best present!
QOTD: TV show: This is US I can watch that show over and over and over love it and can not wait for it to come back in the fall. As for books I feel like I have not read a book in forever but I have been reading this series by Mary Campsi she has this series called A Family Affair and I have been really enjoying it. I also am obsessed with Mariah Stewart's Chesapeake Diaries series and whenever she has a new book come in this series I will find time to read it.
Accountability: I have been doing pretty well in sticking to plan although yesterday we went to a graduation party and I did eat a couple of appetizer pieces of spanakopita and some shaved ice with sugar fee syrup but otherwise I have been doing really well lately.
My food plan for the day:
B: hard boiled egg white, sausage patty, and coffee coffee coffee
L: sliced lunch meat and cheese
S: yogurt and granola
D: steak and veggies
Have a great day my friends....

Good morning! Yesterday, my family spend the day getting my parents house cleared out. I cannot believe how smoothly it went, how agreeable everyone was and that we got it all done in one day. That is thanks to my parents recent move and having pared down quite a bit; the sibs w/ all the spouses and SO's and that everyone had a truck/SUV for Goodwill and dump runs. I am so glad it's over. Today, we are taking the dogs to the beach. I am not sure out of all of us who loves it more, but I live for these mornings. I'm going to visit Dad after, go grocery shopping, then home for cleaning, laundry and making corned beef and cabbage for dinner tonight.
Accountability - ate on plan, perfectly for once!!
QOTD - haven't had the time for binge watching anything lately, but I have shows I want to see - House of Cards, Orange is the New Black and I can't wait to see Wonder Woman either!

l-lunch out - innards of a sub probably
d- corned beef and a few bites of cabbage
v/l - on track
e-long walk on the beach
Have a great day all!

Hi Menu friends,
I woke up with a migraine today; sure hope it goes away. Yesterday I did a 25.5 km ride on my bike and had a lovely day, including a picnic supper in the park across town.
Today, if my migraine subsides enough for me to drive, I plan on heading to the Canadian Tire to pick up a cheap tent and sleeping bag pad so I can ride to a campground and do my first overnight trip on a bike, hopefully 2 weeks from now, when my parents come back to town (I can't leave my parrot without a babysitter). I'll probably walk in the mall today as it's supposed to rain.
Edited to add QOTD: I'm currently watching Supernatural, Quantico, and the Shadow Hunters on Netflix and enjoy them all. I love Fantasy/sci fi/action/adventure type books and movies, although I also enjoy mystery and suspense.
I just read a book I really enjoyed, by Lil Anderson, called Beavers Eh to Bea; Tales of a Wildlife Rehabilitator. My friend bought it for me because one of my favourite nature walks goes over a Beaver Pond (they built a wooden boardwalk across...people did, not the beavers, lol) and I love going at sunset when the beavers are active. Lil Anderson wrote about rescuing two baby beavers, along with countless wild birds, squirrels, a woodchuck, and a fawn, among others. She writes beautifully and I really enjoyed the book.
My menu at 20 weeks post op RNY:
Breakfast: decaff coffee with premier protein, Greek Yogurt topped with 2 strawberries cut up into tiny pieces.
Lunch: Left over BBQ burger patty with cheese slice.
Supper: Prime Rib, BBQ steak.
Snack: Pepperette, cheese string, possibly some cherry tomatoes.
Totals: 637 Cals, 15 total carbs, 29 fat, 2 fibre, 78 protein, 11 sugar.
What do you all do for fibre? Thanks.
