How much did you walk?
Walk as much as you can. Walking and drinking are the two best things you can do for yourself.
6'3" tall, male.
Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.
M1 -24; M2 -21; M3 -19; M4 -21; M5 -13; M6 -21; M7 -10; M8 -16; M9 -10; M10 -8; M11 -6; M12 -5.
Walking was excruciatingly painful for me. In hospital, I walked to the chapel several times, and had to be escorted back to my room twice because I almost passed out (blood pressure shot up, the nurse said it was due to pain and the pain meds, which they cut in half after that).
I had to rent a room in Toronto and stay in the area for 5 days after surgery before I could head home (I live a 10 hour drive away from the hospital where I had surgery). While there, I walked up and down the hall as often as I could.
Once home, I walked to the washroom and back, or up and down the halls. It was winter and we had over 5 feet of snow, so once I was up to walking outside the house, my Dad drove me to the little mall near our house, and I walked there. When that got to be too small, we switched to the big mall. I was so happy when the snow finally melted enough for me to walk outside.
